This time I have organized a horse wisperer experience in Japan by inviting Eric Goodward to do a demonstration & clinic at Infinity Club in Chiba, on April 29th, 2006a and at Fuji Horse riding club nearby Utsunomiya.

Eric is explaining how the horses around the world have a common instinctive language and how we, humans, can aquire it and communicate with them, and therefore gaining their respect and understanding.
Eric is trying to show how to put the saddle on a green horse (that has never been ridden before).
After he saddles the horse, he lets the horse get used to carrying a strange object on his back.
Then he introduces the rider, Cris, his assistant from Australia, to the horse.
Chris makes several attempts to mount on him.
Chris manages to mount him and ride in less than an hour!

Our turn. This was a hands on clinic - training - so that we can do the same stuff he did.
But it wasn't as easy as Eric did it, however we all managed to do it in the end.

Until reading this, I didn't realize how hard to put a saddle on a "green horse". I just took it for granted. Everyone looks so serious listening to Eric and the food looks great!

Great! Horses can spot trust characters by observing people's body language. I wonder if I try training on my cats like Mr.Eric.

I don't have enough information about horses or other animals,but this article encouraged me learning about animals, well, of course about horses especially. Chiki-chan, you so busy!! Are you having a vacation in Okinawa now? I hope you will have some rest!!

Wow! It's interesting. I have thought that a broken horse which was trained former before getting bad temper or injured could be trained again. But Eric can train a wild horse! It's fantastic to find we might be able to have communication with any horses.

Naoco-san, I did try it once with a cat and she came to me, so it might work, but I tried it on a goose in Okinawa and it didn't work.

Utechan, I did have lots of rest because I did not have internet at the hotel we stayed at. This is the reason I did not answer to you for a long time. Okinawa was wonderful, can't wait to update my blog.

La Reina san, you are right, Eric can train any horse, from foals to old ones, from wild to domesticated, from good tempered to bad tempered ones, anywhere in the world, any race of horse, using the same technique: the intuitive language all horses speak and thier mother and mother nature taught them.

Hi, chiki-san. I came here again ! Although I ride horses, I did not even think about how the horses of riding club got used to have saddles on their back. I really would like to visit your riding club when Eric comes again next year.
