スリランカで生物浄化法の再認識 Ratnapura国立病院への水道施設を緩速ろ過（生物浄化法）で2001年に建設するのに協力。熱帯の泥水でも大丈夫なように助言してできた。10年後の2011年、問題なく稼働していた。
2012年10月、コロンボでＪＩＣＡとＪＥＴＲＯが後援し、スリランカの水道関係者に生物浄化法を解説する機会があった。その後、スリランカでは、緩速ろ過を見直しの動きがでて、新たに浄水場を建設することになった。2012年5月に短期間であるが、その場所と、現在稼働している緩速ろ過施設の助言にでかけることになった。
I advised to build a slow sand filter as a new idea of Ecological Purification System the national Ratnapura Hospital in 2001 and 2002. The system is muddy surface water of a river, sedimentation, up flow roughing filters and slow sand filter. I had a chance to visit again Ratnapura in 2006 and in 2011. This facility has been operated by a local staff without any important trouble.
I gave a short speech on the new concept of Slow Sand Filter to the stuff of the National Water Supply and Drainage Board in Colombo, October 25, 2011 organized by JICA and Jetro. After that, they refocused this concept for the application in this country. I will visit again in 2012.
