The Lost Treasure of Montezuma
In some spot in the United States or Mexico over ten million dollars' worth of gold and jewels is veried.
The treasure has been hiden for over hundred fifty years.
Here's how it happened.
The treasure belonged to the Aztecs of Mexico..
Montezuma was their king.
In 1520, Montezuma was warned the spenish soldiers were heading toward his capital city.
Now called Mexico City.
Montezuma had been friendly to the speniards when they first came.
However, the speniards had started a war in order to take the Aztecks and Montezuma no longer trusted them.
When Montezuma heard that spenish soldiers were coming back, he ordered all the royal buildings stripped of gold and jewels.
Then he gave the treasure to several ask Azteck soldiers with other veried north until spenidars had gone.
Not longer after that, the speniards capture the capital city and took Montezuma.
