東京都八王子市上恩方町で１９９９年から地味に活動している、工房橡（つるばみ）のプログです。
橡（つるばみ）は、トチ、クヌギ、ナラなどの古い呼び名で、染料や伝統色の呼び名として残っています。
色の名前としては、一応デザインの専門学校を卒業したので知っていましたが、陶芸の工房というより染色、木工の工房に相応しい名前です。
紅（くれない）は/移ろふものそ/橡（つるばみ）の/馴れにしし衣（きぬ）に/なほ若（し）かめやも
１９９９年、東京都心から、ぎりぎり東京都の山間部に移住しました。
その時の心境が上記の万葉集に近い気がしたのと、古民家の色が橡色に近い気がして、工房名にしました。
表紙の作品は、２００９年１０月に試験焼成したもので、習作 薪による炭化焼成 高さ２８ｃｍ前後 です。
初心者なので、見づらい部分があるかと思いますが、宜しくお願い致します。
This is blog for Studio Tsurubami, founded in 1999 at Kamiongata, Hachiouji city, Tokyo.
Tsurubami is a name of chest nut, Kunugi ( a kind of oak), and a beech remainig as a name
for dyestuff and traditional Japanese color. I have known the name as a color since I had learned that at design school however, the name seems fit better for dyestuff or wood studio rather than the ceramic art studio.
There is a poem from old well-known Japanese book (called A Collection of a Myriad Leaves) saying about the color. When I have moved to here in 1999, the color of the old house reminded me this name of color in the poem so I have named my studio as Tsurubami.
The ceramic art in the top page is the one I have made in 2009 October wiht carbonization as a lesson, the hight is about 28 cm.
