米第35代大統領ジョン・F・ケネディの実弟，同政権の司法長官
1968年、民主党の大統領候補指名選のキャンペーン中に暗殺される。

“It is not enough to understand, or to see clearly.

（理解する、或いは分かっているというだけでは不十分だ。
　　　未来は、心も体も、仕事に委ねる人たちによって、人的活動の場で形造られる。）
“Progress is a nice word. But change is its motivator.

（前進という言葉は響きのよい言葉だ。だが、その原動力となるものは変革だ。
