Transatlantic Sessions Season 5

本当にお久しぶりです。
この一ヶ月、普通に生活はしていますがほとんど楽器には触れていません。
もっぱら聴くだけ状態の毎日です。
仕事のほうは例年よりもちょっとばかし忙しく、来週から月末まで千葉のほうへ出張です。

前に紹介していたBBCのTransatlantic Sessions のシーズン５が始まりました。
BBC関連のサイトからエピソードの１と２が入手できたのでさっそく見てみました。
シーズン５も Aly Bain(Fiddle)と Jerry Douglas（dobro）が中心となり、豪華なゲスト陣とのスーパー・セッションが繰り広げられています。
本シーズンはブルーグラス・ファンは必見の内容です。
まだエピソード３までのライナーしかみていませんが 今回のシーズンは Alison Krauss, Sarah Jarosz, Bela Fleck, Sam Bush, のブルーグラス陣が参加しています。
とりあえず見ることのできたエピソード１と２、これまでのシーズンをこえる素晴らしい内容です。
ケルテック・アイリッシュの独特のリズムにブルーグラス陣のエッセンスが溶け込み・・・・・・♪

Fiddler Aly Bain and dobro player Jerry Douglas return with the traditional music show, showcasing talent from America, Ireland and Scotland. In the first edition, they introduce performances by artists including Alison Krauss, Eric Bibb, Eddi Reader and Kathleen MacInnes

Season 5 Episode 2
Jerry Douglas and Aly Bain introduce performances by 19-year-old singer-songwriter Sarah Jarosz and Amos Lee, appearing at a hunting lodge at Glen Lyon near Aberfeldy. There is also music by Sharon Shannon, Declan O'Rourke and Phil Cunningham

Season 5 Episode 3
Jerry Douglas and Aly Bain introduce more performances on the traditional music show, featuring banjo player Bela Fleck, Jerry Douglas on the dobro, Dirk Powell and Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh
