International Herald Tribuneに、William C. Rhoden（The New York Times）という記者が面白いことを書いていたので、ちょっと紹介しておきます。要するに、米国は負け、野球は国際化したのだから、ワールド・シリーズという呼称を変えなければいけない、というものです。どうせなら、名前を変えるだけじゃなくて、王さんやバレンタイン氏などが提唱しているクラブチーム世界一決定戦にしてほしいもんです。でも、こういう議論が起こってくるだけでも、日本優勝の意義は大きいですね。
