英語の勉強をすると、お米を寄付できま～す。

クイズに答えながら、英単語を学べます。
これだけでも楽しいのですが、
ひとつ正解するごとに、お米20粒を寄付できるんですよ。

お米20粒…
どのくらいなんでしょう。

お米１粒の重さを量るのは大変ですし、重いのも軽いのもあるので…
普通は、1000粒の重さを量ります。
品種にもよりますが、日本のお米なら20ｇちょっと。
（写真にうつっているのを見ると、寄付するのは長いお米ですけど～。）

…ってことは

１日、単語5個で、100粒

10日で、単語50個、1000粒　（20ｇ＋α）かあ。

70～80日で、単語350～400個、7000～8000粒　お米１合（140～160ｇ）ですよ。

１人でやると、飢餓を救うには程遠いですが、
このゲームで、昨日寄付できたお米は　178,501,900粒（3570kg)だそうですよ。
みんなでやれば、成果がでるものですね～。

英語を覚える
　　↓
外国のことにも興味を持つ
　　↓
色々な国の人同士が交流できる
　　↓
理解が深まれば協力しあえる。争いごとも減る…？

長い目でみれば、こんな風に別の形でも役立って行きそうで、良い企画だな～と思います。

You can donate rice when you learn English.
You can get some English words with vocabulary quiz. It is even useful though, you can donate 20 grains of rice with every right answer.

By the way, how much do 10 grains of rice weigh...?
We generally weigh 1000grains of rice because one grain is too small and grains weight are uneven.
1000 grains of usual Japanese rice weigh about 20g＋α. Of course it depends on the variety.
(as far as I look a photo on this site,the rice we can donate is long rice…)

…it means
5 words a day, 100grains of rice.
50 words par 10days, 1000grains of rice（20ｇ＋α）
350～400words par 70～80days, 7000～8000grainds of rice = 1go (180ml=140～160ｇ）

It would be too far for one person to provide enough rice to hungry people .
However WFP says 178,501,900 grains of rice donated yesterday through this game.
A lot of supporters can make that big deal.

Having exchanges between different countries
　　↓
After understanding, many people will be able to cooperate. Reduce international problems...?

I expect such a good effort many years later. So I think this plan is good.
