元旦

あけましておめでとうございます

今年、おせちは予約して買ったものです
作ったのはお煮しめと、お雑煮だけ
うちのお雑煮は鶏肉、大根、ニンジン、サトイモ、三つ葉と、おもちです

あとは、お屠蘇
友人に話したら、お屠蘇なんて家で飲むの？と聞かれました
普通はしないのかしら。我が家では恒例。
薬草をお酒とみりんに漬けたもので、健康を祈願して飲みます。

着付けを習ったのに、すでに忘れそうなので、
復習をかねて妹と着物を着てみました。
母にダメだしされ、二人とも髪型から直されたのでした。。。

二人で着物姿で犬の散歩

のんびりした元旦をすごしました。皆様は？

Happy new year 2012.

We booked and bought osechi(Japanese traditional new year dishes).
We prepared only onishime(chicken and vegetables cooked with soy souce)
and zouni(soup with mochi).

We use chicken,Japanese radish,carrot, mitshba(hone wort) and mochi for zouni.
It is alcohol for new year, soaked some herbs in Nihon-shu and mirin.
We pray our health with it.

My sister and I wore kimono too. Because I can't stop to forget kimono skill that I learned last year.
But our mother didn't say OK ,and she fixed again not only kimono, but hair style...

We walked around my house with dog.
It was a comfortable day for me. How were you on this first day of new year?

盆踊り＆1周年

昨日は、妹と盆踊りをのぞきに行きました。
浴衣を着て。
私は練習用にしている、古い浴衣です。汚れてもいいものね。

盆踊りとはいえ、あまり出店もなかったのですけど
カキ氷とフライドポテトを購入。

今のカキ氷って、味を選ぶんじゃなく、こんな蛇口から好きなものを自分でかけるのね。
ここだけかも知れないけど。シロップもかけ放題だそうです！

カルピス、抹茶、グレープの３色にしました。
冷たい氷と温かいポテトの組み合わせが妙に美味しい。。。

その後、先日書いたお店の1周年記念へ寄り道。
プレゼントのそろばんは、前日行って渡しておいたのだけど
お店のママは、昨日も大喜びで、お客さんに自慢していました。

特にご祝儀を持たずにくる方も多いので、「何ももってこなかったよ〜」と困っていました。
とりあえず、ママお祝いに１杯どうぞ、なんてお店の方にご馳走したり、
今そこで買って来た日用品などを、ママのために買ったなんていってプレゼントしてた。
ママも、そんな皆さんに見せなくていいのに〜。
お客を困らせるなんて、悪いママだ（笑）

浴衣や着物を着ると、馬子にも衣装！
なかなか好評でした。

私は練習用と、すごくいい浴衣の2つしか持ってないので
普通にきられるのがもうひとつほしくて、今日着付け教室のあと衝動買いしちゃった。

上が新しいの。
下の黄色いのが昨日着ていった練習用。これでもうばっちり汚れるまで練習できます。

I dropped in bon-odori (Bon festival dance) with my sister yesterday.
We wore yukata.
I chose the old one which I use for practice, because it wasn't problem if I make it stain.

Though festival was held, food stands were a few.
We bought a pack of potato fried and a bowl of shaved ice with syrup.
I always chose one syrup for shaved ice, but now a day(only this time?), we turned some taps on and pour syrup on the ice.
We may get syrups as much as we like!

I poured Calpis(Japanese drink like a sweet yogurt), Maccha(powdered green tea) and grape.
The cold ice and hot potato curiously matched well...

After that, we dropped by the drinking shop where I wrote the other day.
I had given female owner new soroban for first anniversarry, one day before.
But she showed it some other guests with great joy .

People who didn't have any present were at a loss for an answer.“I don't bring anything..”
Somebody gave her a shot, other one gave her something which he had.

I was a little ashamed too.
She made many people stack..what a bad owner! haha

Anybody can look good with kimono or yukata.
They said well about our yukata too.

I have only 2 yukatas, the high class and cheap one I use for practice.
I wanted one more to wear in usual occation.
After komono wearing lesson today, I got the new one(the upper one on last pic.).
The lower yellow one is for practice which I wore yesterday.
So I can use it without any care.

きもの

着付けをはじめました。

なくなった祖母の着物がたくさんあって、着物はサイズがあわないのだけど

帯や小物は使えるので。

反物まま残っていた紬があったので、それを私のサイズで仕立ててもらいました。

 

でも着物を着るのってむずかしい。

教わって、家で復習しても、なかなか理解できない。。。

 

部屋着をゆかたにするといい、毎日着るからといわれ

なかなか毎日はできませんけど、今日はゆかたでビール傾け晩酌です。

 

早く上達したいなあ。

 

I am learning how to wear Kimono.

My deceased grandmother had many kimonos. They aren't fit my body. But I can use Obi and many things for wearing kimono.

She left one Tnamono ( un sawing fablic for kimono). So I had my kimono tailored.

 

Wearing kimono is really difficult...

After lesson, I learn it again by myself, but I can't get it...

 

My teacher and some friends  said if I use yukata(informal cotton kimono) for my room wear, it is good that  wearing kimono . Because I can have many chances to practice.

I can't do it everyday though,,, I am having dinner and beer with yukata tonight.

 

原爆記念日によせて

Obama's Prague speech on disarmament - Unedited, in English

核兵器についてのメッセージを世界に送る時が来た。
オバマ大統領の演説がニュースでも度々紹介されていますね。

英語での演説を見つけました。

「核のない、平和で安全な世界を、米国が責任をもって追求していくことをはっきり宣言する」

（原文:I state clearly and with conviction America's commitment to seek the peace and security of a world without nuclear weapons.)

「核廃絶と言う目標は、すぐに到達できるものではない、おそらく私が生きている間には。忍耐と根気強さが必要だろう。けれど、世界は変わらないという人の声に耳を貸さず、“Yes,We can”と言おう!」

(原文:This goal will not be reached quickly -- perhaps not in my lifetime. It will take patience and persistence. But now we, too, must ignore the voices who tell us that the world cannot change. We have to insist, "Yes, we can."

とても全てを聞き取ることはできませんが…
でも、、雰囲気だけでも感じたい。沢山の人に感じて欲しい。
歴史的な演説！これから世界が平和に向けて動き出す予感がします。

オバマさんが言っているとおり、すぐに何が変わるわけではないでしょう。
それでも、この演説に心を動かされた人が、どの国にも必ずいるはず。
アメリカがつけた、世界中に散らばる小さな灯火を見守り
大きな火に育むのも、日本の使命ではないでしょうか。

戦争、特に核兵器について、日本が訴えなければ一体どの国が訴えてくれるのか…と、いつも思います。
何ができるのか、答えを見つけるのは難しいけど。

It's time to send a clear message to the world. Obama's speach was reported on News many times. I found his speach on internet.

I can't listen it well. Even though I want to feel the atmosphere.
I want many people to do so.
This will be remembered in history! It gives me an expectation that the world is moving to the peace.

As Obama says, anything won't be changed so soon.
Besides there could be some person who is touched in every countries of the world.
US lit small lights around the world. Watching and raising them are our roll...aren't they?

There is no country which can advocate to the world if Japan doesn't that.
It is difficult what we can do...

取り壊しを間近に控え、
祖父の家で物色。

着物の間から、こんな端切れを見つけました。
時代を感じる。。。

妹の友達がお持ち帰りになりました。
着物を着るときに、反戦ネタで使ってみようかな〜とのこと。

蓄音機も出てきた。
動くのか不明。。。

We were surching old things in my grandfather's house before pulling down.

There was a old scrap of cloth... It really reflect the times...

A friend of my sister took it. She said she likes to try arrangement with kimono, for antiwar message.

My sister looked an old gramphone... we don't know it works...
