Leftover sanma dish with tomato was changed to a pasta with sanma and tomato sauce.
Now we found the one thing. The bone of sanma was blue.
I'm wonderd if this sanma grew up in the polluted with some heavy metal...
But I'm relieved after studying.

The bile , biliverdin calciumsalt is in a bone from time to time.

My friend told me about this Manga. "Moyashi-mon"
It also appeared on TV as cartoon.
The story is in "bou(some)-nodai (university name)" by microorganism and a hero who can see microorganism.

The exhibition about microorganism was hold at National Museum of Nature and Science,Ueno.
The writer of Moyashi-mon cooperated with this event.
I went to see it in last term. ( It already finished Jan,12)

The characters are P.chrysogenum (blue mold) and A.orizae (ko-ji).
They are so cute! And more, their shape are like this through a microscope.

They were at the entrance, at first. (pic.2)
The exhibition were well specialized. Many mushrooms are there too.(pic.3)
Do you know the fluorescent mushroom?(pic.4)

Mr.Ishikawa who is the writer of this manga "Moyashi-mon" said that he can't do just small cooperation, do more for this big interesting event!
That was the truth.
The microorganism characters fermented the event hall completely.

Everybody must follow the rule when we were asked by these characters¢ö(pic.5)
The hero occasionally make some pictures in these microorganism.
Staffs realized it on agar plate. Great!(pic.6)
There is the way how they made it. (pic.7)

I recommend you this manga if you like manga, agriculture, alcohol, fermented foods and microorganism too! really cute and interesting.

I'm interested in doing something to increase Japanese food self-sufficiency rate.
I went to the forum with my friend, at my university...haha

I've been wondered something since I wrote my first article about food self-sufficiency rate.

The money based ratio is 69%.
Besides, the calorie based one is 39%.
What does this mean?
Foods which make energy for us aren't cultivated, which is expensive and luxurious are grown, right??

I got to know that I was right.
Some farmers said
"Many farmland aren't running. Because rice and vegetables are selling poorly."
"We can work more, however Japanese society don't give us work."

Waooo? reallyyyy??
I surely believed that people who work on agriculture were decreased...

There is another reason, They have to give up their work.
I didn't know that.

So "how to grow food self-sufficiency rate up ¡" is buying foods which is produced in Japan!

I bought a spinach from Ibaraki, cucumbers from some area in Japan(I don't remember where..).
Although okras are from Thailand....

Most people know that Japanese food self-sufficiency rate is low!!
We usually calculate what percent calorie we take from domestic foods.
Energy is our source to live, isn't it?

¡ÄThat's 40%.
If we will be out of imported foods, our daily meal will be cut down to 40%, right?

It's 996kcal. a day. We can't survive in such environment.
We need about 1200 kcal.a day even we are just lieing on a bed.
¢¨Basal metabolism is depend on your physique or age. You can know yours in this site.
http://www.kenkodiet.jp/check_basal.html

Japanese policy is an increase of food self-sufficiency rate to 45% till in 2015!
If we will achieve it (besidese we will change crops from rice or vegetables to potatos which is better to get energy ) , we would be able to take 2020kcal. a day.

Potato, potato, rice, few vegetable and few fish....

It looks better, we might be active , not just sleep. However it still be short of vegetable and fish. Our health would be losing step by step when we will keep that meal for a long time.

There is the man who challenged that and reported. It must be hard going through this meal for4 days !!
http://www.yomiuri.co.jp/feature/foodexp/index.htm?from=os4]

I think Japanese meal in old time is like this.
Eating a lot of cooked rice with small vegetable and fish which was seasoned strongly.
He ate bland foods because we'd be short of seasoning in that situation.

oh, some people have nearly same meal nowaday. The plain diet is in fashion.
However "too plain" means "too short"...
Although I know we have foods too much, we don't need to back to the time when most Japanese was malnutrition.

I have tried brown rice or miscellaneous cereals since last year.
I get tired them when I eat the same cereals. So I sometimes try new one.

The good point of miscellaneous cereals is that they are more nutritious than polished rice, isn't it?¡¡This one is sticky so I think I can eat everyday without losing interest.

Of course I know I should prepare one more side dish.
They are really useful for breakfast. I can't spend much time in the morning. I'm covering my poor dish by these cereals....haha.

Well, they are my easy breakfast...

leftover mini curry of last night.
Natto and mekabu seaweeds with rice. It is common breakfast for me.
One of my favorites, it is rice and tea with canned tasted fish and row vegetable.
I like poured thin noodle soup or Mugi-cha instead of tea.

Having simple and enough breakfast. It is my policy.
