I'm super busy for studying at all...
Psychology, Child Development, and
what else??? Well, oh yeah, Role Educator
those all tough courses are this semester's
mandatory for me to take.
Well, I'm OK, I'm fine!! Sorry for lack of communication, buddy.
Ren is absolutely fine, and he's actually amazing!

Is Mrs. Wright always right?

12/8 12:30-13:00昼休みに抜け出してRenの授業参観へ。
どんなお母さん達に会えるのだろう?と考えながら5分前に到着。
バスの便が悪いにしては中々だなぁ･･･ってアレ?誰も来ていない。
聞いてみると今日はAkkichiだけ貸切での参観だそう。
1人1人個別で参観して先生に聞きたい事を聞いたり
出来る限り普段の様子を見せる様な心配りがされている。
ビデオとデジカメを手に席の後ろから手を振る自分を
少し想像していたからとってもビックリ☆でも
Renの様子がとてもよく分かりました。良い制度です。
クラスは広くて日本の教室の3クラス分位の中に18人の生徒、
先生は担任が1人とアシスタントが2,3人。
遊ぶスペースがたっぷりで机が無いのかなぁ?と思ったら
教室の隅の方に有り何か書く時はそちらに行くらしい。
子供達は主に、ある程度決められたルールの中で、(例えば
人の持っている物を手から取ってはいけない等)
自由に遊んでいて先生が何かを促す時には歌をうたって
知らせる。何だかシュタイナーを連想しました。
子供達の中に、写真を撮らせる事を親が許可していない子が居る為
残念ながら写真はたった１人の物ですが、雰囲気伝わるでしょうか･･･？
今月のテーマ、木の勉強で木を売るという設定のカウンターで遊ぶRen

I went to Ren's class visit during my lunch break.
There was no one except me,thus I was wondering if I was too early.
I was surprised to hear that this day I got the class all to myself.
I imagined that I was going to wave Ren behind the children's desks
but that scene was completely different.
The room in Canada accomodates eighteen children and ateacher and two assistants.
The building used for Ren's classroom in Canada is three times the size of its
used for the classroom in Japan.
Children devote most of their time to work, and when teacher has to tell
them the time to do their activity or whatever, she let them know in a recitativo.
I reminded Steiner method to listen to it.
Some students' parents don't allow us to take their children's picture,
therefore, unfortunately I couldn't take others' picture.
I hope you will be able to know classroom atmosphere.

12/03 子連れという事で招待を受けて大学のクリスマスパーティへ。
Renの大好きなジンジャーブレッドマンのクッキーデコレーションをしたり
カラフルなシリアルでネックレスを作ったり
キャンディでトナカイを作ったり。
もちろんサンタ夫妻もお見えになっていて
子供達全員にどっさりプレゼントをくれた。
予算がたっぷりあったようで(…なんて言ったら夢が無いかしら)
教会なんかのパーティと違ってお料理やドリンクもかなり豪華でしたよ☆
こちらのよい所はこういう時は徹底して子供が主役！！
とっても子供を尊重して楽しませようという試みがあちこちに見られます。
子供のまま大人になった様な人が多いカナディアンだから
彼らの気持ちがよく分かるのかもしれませんね。
さて、Renは学校でサンタさん宛てに手紙を書いたらしいのです。
こちらでは、いくつもお願いをするのが普通なようで
１．ロケットシップ２．スペースシップ３．犬４．ブレスレット５．スーパーヒーロー
６．そしてランチボックス
を頼んでいました。ロケットシップとスペースシップ、同んなじや〜ん！
ちなみにランチボックスってお弁当箱の事じゃないんです。
お弁当を入れて保冷しておくボックスの事。
カナダの長い寒い冬、室内はとても暖かく
お弁当に保冷は必須なようです。多くの子が持っている中
自分が無かったのが気になっていたのでしょうね。ウフフかわいい☆

We went to the Christmas party at my college.
Ren was so pleased to have time there.
He decorated a gingerbread man and a candy cane.
He also made a necklace with fruit roop cereals.
Off course he got many presents from Mr.Claus.
Well, he wrote to Santa Claus at his school, and sent it
his place north pole. And his teacher made a photocopy
for parents let them know.Santa already knew what Ren would like
him to give,so we don't need to know it,
but I think the teacher just wanted to let us know.
The contents are below.
To Santa I like getting toys from you.
I would like a rocket ship for Christmas.
I would also like a space ship.
I would like a dog. I would like a bracelet.
I really want a superhero like Batman.
I would like a new lunchbox.
I hope you come to my house this year!
