Oh, my water bottle was frozen!

11/23　久々にDowntownを経由してPeterboroughの北の果て、WALMARTへ。
大人も子供も寒くなってからは移動以外の殆どの時間を室内で過ごしている。
そんな訳でNorthAmericaの娯楽の第1位はTorontoStarによるとShopping！だそうです。
2位はテレビを見る事。う〜ん、インドアですねぇ。
さて、かく言う私もShoppingを楽しんできましたよ。
RenのSnowsuit, boots, mitts and a hatをゲットしてきました。
今日は-10度,風も弱めで比較的過ごしやすい日でした。
明日は寒くなるそうです。Renさっきから英語で寝言を言っています。

I went to WALMART with my classmates to get Ren's winter clothes.
You know what? The number one pastime in North America is shopping![by Toronto Star]
Actually,No.two is watching T.V......
Anyhow, I enjoyed shopping since I love it.
What I got is I got Ren's snowsuits, snowboots, mitts and a hat.
It was only -10℃, so it didn't bother me.
It's gonna be pretty cold tomorrow.
Oh, oh Ren's talking in his sleep in English.

11/17　初雪！はあっと言う間につもり
気温は−15度へ･･･
雪には慣れているCanadianでも
初雪の日は少しばかり交通に混乱が起きるようで
バスが来ない〜〜シェルターの無いbus stopで
30分も待っていたら頭が変になるほど寒かった。
風が強く吹雪になり
ブーツで覆われていない腿が痛い。
帽子を深く被って耳を覆っても耳が痛い。
−40度って一体･･･???

It was the first snow of this season in Peterborough.
The temprature was dropping to -15 degrees Celsius.
Although Canadian drivers had got used to drive under this climate,
in first few days of snow, they're confused.
Therefore, the bus delayed, so I had to wait for 30minutes. WHAT???!!!
I almost flipped out. Oh, dear...
I can hardly imagine as -40 degrees.
On the other hand, Ren pleased at all.
It's not real winter, it's just coming of it.

Classmates

11/13新しい家に引越しをして２週間、大家さんのDavidが
息子のMathewとRen,Akkichiに夕食をご馳走してくれた。
ポテトがとても美味しかった。今度作り方を聞こうっと。
お母さんがお料理が上手だったらしく色々教わったみたい。
Mathew15歳は素直な良い子でRenに絵を描いてくれたり。
あ、写真を撮るのをうっかり忘れてしまっていた…
と言う訳で今日の写真は遅ればせながら
秋の学期のクラスメイト１５人。

We've been living here,new place, for two weeks.
My landlord David invited his son, Mathew who is
15-year-old boy, for supper.
David said his mother is a good cook, and he's a good cook too.
Everything was yummy, especially potato was pretty good.
He should tell me how to make it,someday.
Oh,oh... I forgot to take pictures...
Anyway,I put my classmates' one instead today.

10/31 Halloween!お菓子くれなきゃイタズラしちゃうぞ！
って家を回るって事は日本に居た時から分かっていたけど
こここんなに楽しい行事が何で日本にないの〜〜〜っっ！？
と、体験して感じました。
帰国したら実現させたいイベントの一つです。
RenはMaureenの手作りのtigerに、
Ethanは昨年のapplefestaでgetしたcowに。
２人とも可愛いったらなかった＊
疲れ果てるまで歩き回って大きな袋を
お菓子で満タンにして、
子供にとっては最高のイベントでしょうね。

Halloweenday!
I thought "Halloween" is that children'll say
"Trick Or Treat?!" to neighbors and
they get candies, that's all.
However, reality was more than that.
When I go back to Japan, I would love to
do "Trick-or-treating!"
I'm pretty sure, this is the best event for every child.

Montreal

10/25日本から来たGakuとMontrealへ！
気付けば早くも半分のセメスターが過ぎていて…
このセメスターはLatvia,Colombia,Quebec,
Korea,China,Taiwan,and Japanと国際色豊かで楽しく
忙しく授業が進んでいます。
しかしRenのJKが始まってからというもの
私の方の勉強が殆どできていないっっ×××大丈夫か〜〜?
出来る事しか出来ないから焦りはしない、と決めても
これだけ時間が無いと…
さてさて、話は戻りMontrealへ行って来ました。
前セメスターでMontrealへ行こうとした時に
ViaRailの席が埋まっていてバスでToronto発1:00am,Renと2人で
10時間行くのはしんどいぞ、と諦めていました。
で、今回は早めにTicketをget!
TorontoからViaRailで5時間ほど、ただただ何も無い
景色が続き、本当に美しい街に辿り着くんだろうか?
…でもその景色も日本では味わえない物でしたが,anyway,
無事到着したMontrealは感動的に美しく,美味しく,とてもとてもフレンチで
そして、寒かった...
Celine Dionが挙式をしたと言うNotre-Dameには
是非訪れるべし!です。中に入るとEnglishかFrenchの
ガイドが選べて、もちろん英語を選んだ…のにフレンチ訛りが強い＊＊＊
(しかも早口!)関西弁を聞いている外国人の様な心境でした。

I'm on my holiday...actually, it's not a holiday, it's a readingweek!!
Since Ren have been to JK,
I didn't have enough time to study this half of semester,unfortunately.
However, I was pretty enjoying for those days.
We have some international students in one class, including me,
and they're from Quebec, Colombia, Latvia, Korea, China, Taiwan, and Japan.
Anyhow, we, Akkichi's family traveled to Montreal!
It was so beautiful, delicious, and cold city.
I got some winter clothes which are French tasted in there.

If you had an opportunity to go to Montreal, you can't miss
Notre-Dame which was so beautiful, just beautiful.
