運命を分けたザイル



いやーー、すごいお話でした。
これがほんとに起こったことかと思うと、肩に力が入っちゃいました。
それくらい、すごい実話です。

ジョーとサイモン、ふたりの若者がアンデス山脈の難関、
シウラ・グランデの西壁に挑戦するというお話です。
順調に頂上を征服したふたりは、下山の途につくつきます。
しかし･･･。


みどころは、根性。ド根性。
それと、どうやって撮ったんだろう？
危険だったんじゃないの？？
と、思っちゃうくらい壮絶な雪山の映像。
それに尽きます。


でもね、わたしには雪山登山をする人の気持ちがわからないんですよね・・・。
なんと言いましても、わたしは超インドア派の運動嫌い･･･。

「闘争心」という気持ちを抱かぬままバレー部に所属して、
「やる気あんのか、おまえ！！」とびんたされ、蹴られながら、

「プライド」なんて端からないから
「レギュラーから外してくれ・・・。」と、試合の度に心の中で祈り、

「達成感」なんてどうでもいいから
「ああ、早く引退したい・・・。」と、中３の夏の日を指折り数え続けた。
そんな女ですから。


理解を超えた男２人の壮絶な実話に、ただ「すげえ」としか思えませんでした。
わたしなら、諦めちゃうなあ。
割と早めに。


あたしゃ骨折したことないから、どれくらい痛いか分からないけど、
すごく痛いんでしょう？？
なのにすげえや。
あんた、すげえや。


と、ジョーに言ってやりたくなりました。
