みなさん、こんにちは！ご無沙汰しております！（＾＾；） Hi, everybody! It's been a long time! もうあっという間に9月になってしまいました。 It is already September before you know it. 今年は、6月に6年ぶりに日本に帰国し、私がニューヨークに戻る時に両親も初めてＮＹを訪問 するという、とっても嬉しくてエキサイティングなことがありました！（＾＾） This year, I went back to Japan in June after six years and came back to New York with my parents for the first time so there have been delightful and exciting things happened! 帰国時には、高校時代からの4人の親友との神戸・大阪へ旅行、昔務めていた会社の同僚や後輩たちとの 17年ぶりの再会、そして、他の友達との懐かしい再会などなど本当に楽しいことの連続でした！ During the stay in Japan, I went on a trip to Kobe and Osaka with my four bestfriends since high school, had a reunion with my ex-cowokers and juniors for the first time in 17 years, and had some other reunions with other friends so it was very enjoyable! 写真は神戸の夜景と大阪城です。 Here are the photos of night view of Kobe and Osaka castle. 両親のＮＹ滞在中は、様々な観光スポットに出かけ、美味しい物をたくさん食べました。 During the stay of my parents in New York, we went to a lot of tourist spots and experienced variety of foods. これはグランドセントラル駅とクライスラービル。 Grand Central Terminal and Chrysler building. エンパイヤステートビルからの景色。あえてモノクロにしてみました。 Here is a view from Empire State Building. I changed it to in black and white by design. 新しいワールドトレードセンター。 New World Trade Center. ヤンキースタジアムでイチローのプレーも見ましたよ！ We watched some Ichiro's play at Yankee Stadium! 勿論、ロッドもBBQグリルでたくさんのお肉や野菜の料理を作ってくれました。（＾＾） Of course, Rod cooked a lot of meat and vegitables with his BBQ grill for them. ほとんど英語が喋れない両親だけど、とても楽しくて、思い出深い滞在だったようです。 Although my parents' English speaking skill is limited, they really enjoyed it and made a lot of memories. Above all, I am so glad that my parents were able to meet Rod's mother. あと、悲しいお知らせが一つあります。 And there is one sad news. 猫のイジーの姉妹のブーブーが今年の3月に亡くなりました。 Our cat, Boo Boo who was Izzy's sister passed away last March. She had a feline leukemia. 残されたイジーのことが少し心配でしたが、変わらずに元気に2ワンと過ごしています。 We were little concerned about Izzy but she is fine with the two dogs. ということで、今年は既にいろいろなことがありました。 So, many things happened this year already. 義母は相変わらず寝たきりの状態ですが、それでも毎日頑張っています。 My mother-in-law is still confined to bed, but she is hanging in there. I cannot update my blog so often but I just want to say how things are going. これからも気長に見守っていてくださいね！よろしくお願いします！（＊＾＾＊）

みなさん、こんにちは！（＊＾＾＊） Hi, everybody! ご無沙汰しております！お元気ですか？ It's been a long time! How are you doing? もうニュース等でご存知かも知れませんが、一昨日ニューヨークに雪が降りました！ You may know about this from news, but we had snow in New York the day before yesterday! 1952年の10月に降った際の積雪量を大きく上回ったそうです。 It surpassed the snow accumulation of October 1952. At the beginning of October, we had a day that reached 80 degrees F (about 26.7℃) so we were surprised about it, but this time, we had snow! 世界的に気候が変化しているのを感じますね。。。 I can feel that climate is changing all over the world... このスノーストームにより、200万世帯が停電しています。（−−；） This snowstorm left 2 million homes without power. 幸いなことに、私たちは家もお店も停電せず、大丈夫です。（＾＾） Fortunately, we did not have power failure neither home nor the shop, so we are OK. This is the photo that I took from the shop window. まだ紅葉が始まったばかりで、葉が緑の木もたくさんあります。 The foliage has just been started, so lots of trees still have green leaves. 木の葉が多く残っていたために、雪が葉に付いて重くなり、多くの木や枝によって電線が切断されました。 Since trees had lot of leaves, the snow accumulated on leaves resulted in knocking down electric wires with trees and branches. The street in front of the shop. It is like a scenery of winter. これは庭の写真。マイロとマーフィーが後方にいるのが分かりますか？（＾＾） Here is a backyard photo. Can you see Milo and Murphy back there? 雪の中でも元気に走っていました！ They were running around in the snow! そして、アメリカは今日がハロウィーンです。 Then, it is Halloween today in the US. 雪のために学校がお休みになったので、子供たちは嬉しいかも？！（＊＾＾＊） Since schools around here were closed because of the snow, I guess kids are happy about it?! それでは、ハッピーハロウィーン！！（＊＾＾＊） So, happy halloween!! |

How are you doing? モリーの記事にはたくさんの心優しいコメントをいただき、ありがとうございました。 Thank you very much for the many wamest comments on the Molly's article. まだ時々モリーの夢を見たりしますが、きっとモリーは天国から私たちを見守って くれていると信じています。 I still have a dream about Molly once in a while, but I believe that Molly is in heaven watching us. さて、こちらは少しずつ秋らしくなってきて、毎日美しい紅葉を見ながら通勤しています。 Now then, it's getting like fall day by day here, and we look at beautiful colored leaves for commuting everyday. 今日は、最近撮った紅葉の写真を紹介しますね。（＊＾＾＊） So, I will show you some photos of autumn foliage that I took lately. Here are the photos that I took last week around our house. とってもカラフルで綺麗ですよね〜！！ They are so colorful and beautiful! この写真にはリスが何匹か写っているのが分かりますか？ Can you see some squirrels in this photo? そして、これが今朝撮った写真です。ロッドのトラックが紅葉に囲まれてますよね！（＾＾） Then, I took this photo this morning. Rod's truck was surrounded by colored leaves! 毎朝、この景色を見て心が和む私たちですが、マイロにはちょっと違って見えるようです。（＾＾；） We feel good when we see the scenery every morning, but Milo sees it in a little different way. Since Rod parks his truck there, many leaves fall on the truck. ある朝、マイロがトラックの後ろの葉っぱを見て吠えていました。 One morning, Milo was barking at some leaves on the back of the truck. Here is the vido I took. 葉っぱが風に舞って、まるで生きているかのように動くので、マイロは大興奮してました。（＾＾；） Since the leaves were dancing like they were alive, Milo got so excited. マイロは本当にいろいろと面白いことをやるので、私たちをいつも笑わせてくれます。（＊＾＾＊） Milo does so many interesting things, he always makes us laugh. みなさん、こんにちは！（＾＾） Hi, everyone! 今の気温は１４℃。晴れていて、とても気持ちが良いニューヨークです！ It is 14 degrees C now. It is sunny and very nice in New York! これは昨日の夕焼け。とっても綺麗だったので写してみました！ This is yesterday's sunset. It was so beautiful so I took this picture! さて、最近は夜になるとテレビの前でヤンキースを応援していた私。 Lately, I've been cheering for Yankees in front of TV at night. 昨日はヤンキースがアメリカンリーグのチャンピオンとなりました！！（＊＾＾＊） Yankees became American League champions yesterday!! ご存知の方も多いと思いますが、メジャーリーグにはアメリカンリーグとナショナルリーグがあります。 As many people know, there are American League and National League in Major League Baseball. The World Series is played between American and National Leagues winning teams. 去年はアメリカンリーグを勝ち残れなかったヤンキースですが、今年は頑張りました！！（＾＾） Yankees couldn't make it to the Post season last year, but they did it this year!! 今年から新しいスタジアムになったからでしょうか？！（＾＾；） It might have been because of the new stadium they opened this year?! それとも、去年から変わった監督のやり方が良いのでしょうか？！ Or, the new manager since last year changed the way and working well?! どちらにしても、応援しているチームが勝つのは嬉しいですね！（＾＾） Either way, if the team you cheer for wins, it is very delightful! 対戦するのはフィラデルフィアのフィリーズ。去年のワールドシリーズを征したチームなので強敵です！（−−；） Yankees are facing Philadelphia Phillies. They are the champions of World Series last year so very strong! 普段はあんまり野球を見ていない私ですが＾＾、ヤンキースがここまで勝ち残ると頑張って欲しいです！！ I usually don't watch baseball games but since Yankees won the post season, I want them to win!! Matsui is still working hard!! 水曜日からヤンキースタジアムでワールドシリーズが始まります！ The World Series will start on Wednesday at Yankee stadium! |

みなさん、こんにちは！（＾＾） Hi, everyone! 今の気温は１８℃。暖かいのですが、雨のニューヨークです。 It is 18 degrees C now. It is warm but raining in New York. 先日、てんとう虫のことを記事にしましたが、昨日ニュースで放送してました！ The other day, I uploaded an article about ladybugs, I saw news about it yesterday! この時期に集団で群れをなすアジアンてんとう虫だそうで、NYだけでなく他の州でも大群でいるのを 目撃されているそうです！ They are Asian ladybugs which congregate this time of a year, the swarms have been reported not only in NY but also in other states! They like white homes and structures and try to get in. In fact, our bedroom's ceiling and wall are white! As so the shop's outside wall! うちだけではないので少し安心しましたが、ラッキーとは関係無かったみたいですね！（＾＾；） I was little relieved that it wasn't only to us but it didn't mean we were lucky I guess! 昨日、郵便局に行った時に紅葉がとても綺麗だったので、今日はその写真をアップしますね！（＾＾） Yesterday, I went to a post office and autumn leaves were so beautiful so I will upload some photos of it today! At first, this is a photo that I took in front of our house. これは、郵便局に行く道の途中です。 This one was on the way to the post office. 郵便局の前はこんな感じ。 This one was in front of the post office. 教会の前。楓はやっぱり美しいですね！（＾＾） This was in front of a church. Maple trees are very beautiful! こちらは図書館の近く。 This was near the library. 帰り道にも綺麗な紅葉を発見！ I found beautiful autumn leaves on the way to the shop! お店のツタも紅葉してますよ！ The ivy around the shop is also turning! 昨日は曇っていたので青空ではなくて残念ですが、楽しんで頂けたら嬉しいです！（＾＾）
