ジョージア州への旅行の続きです。 This is a sequel of the Geogia trip. ２日目は、目的の車を無事にピックアップしました。（＾＾） On the second day, we picked up the car safe and sound. せっかく南部に来たのだから、本場のBBQを食べることに。 Since we came to the South all the way, we wanted to have the genuine BBQ. 私の食べたベビーバックリブ。 This is a baby back rib I had. ロッドの食べたプルドポークとスペアリブ。 This is some pulled pork and sparerib Rod had. とってもとっても美味しかったですよ〜〜！！（＊＾＾＊） It was excellent!! そして、そのレストランの近くにあったリサイクルのお店で、なんと私にぴったりのサイズの ジーンズをゲット！（＠＠） Then we went to a thrift shop near the restaurant and bought jeans, which fit me perfect! 普通のお店でもサイズや長さがピッタリのものを見つけるのは難しいのですごく嬉しかったのと、 なんと＄４だったんです！＄４は通常なら約４００円！（＊＾＾＊）（今は超円高ですが） It is hard to find perfect size jeans for me even at regular shops, and it was only $4 so I was very happy about it. $4 means usually ￥４００！（Yet yen is very strong now) この日は夕方から激しい雨にみまわれて、視界が悪くて運転が大変そうでした。（−−；） We had heavy rain since evening on the day so it was hard to drive because of the poor visibility. On the second day, we stayed at Comfort Inn. The additional charge for the dogs was $10. At this hotel, we let the doggies to do little excersise. ベッドとベッドの間をジャンプさせようということに。。。 We tried the doggies to jump between the beds... これがそのビデオです。（＾＾） Here is the video. ふふふ！マイロはほとんど出来ていましたが、マーフィーはちょっとずるしてましたね。（＾＾；） Hahaha! Milo did it almost perfect but Murphy cheated sometimes. ３日目は朝から晴れていました！（＊＾＾＊） It was sunny since the morning on the third day! 途中でバイクランを見ましたよ！警官のバイクが先導してました。 We saw a bike run on the way! Some police bikes led the bikes. 本当はもう少しゆっくりしたかったけど、それでも２ワンとのドライブや楽しい思い出を作ることができました！ I wanted to stay longer to enjoy the trip but we had a good time with the doggies and made a great memory! これでマーフィーも長距離ドライブが大丈夫だと分かったので、また２ワンと一緒に 遊びに行けます！（＊＾＾＊） Now we know that Murphy is OK for a long drive, so we can take the doggies with us again! ３にゃんずのお世話は友達に頼みましたが、帰った時にお喋りのイジーは何も話しませんでした。 We asked our friend to take care of the three cats but talkative Izzy did not talk to me when we got back. 寂しかったのかも知れないですね。。。（＾＾；） I guess Izzy missed us... でも、数時間したらニャーニャーと話しかけてきました。（＾＾） However, Izzy started to talk to us after a few hours. また時間のある時に、最近のワンにゃんの様子を紹介しますね！（＊＾＾＊） When I have time, I will update our doggies and cats! |

みなさん、こんにちは！お元気ですか？（＾＾） Hi, everyone! How are you doing? あっという間に、もう9月になっちゃいましたね。（＠＠） As quick as a wink, it is already September. ９月に入ったというのに、昨日は３０℃以上で暑かったです。（＾＾；） Although it is September, it was over 30 degrees C and hot yesterday. でも、これからはどんどん涼しくなりますね。 However, It is going to be cooler day by day. さて、７月の終りに私たちはジョージア州まで行ってきたんです。（＊＾＾＊） Now then, we went to Geogia at the end of July. 目的は、トライアンフのスピッドファイアーという車を取りに行くためでした。 The purpose of the trip was to pick up a Triumph Spitfire. 参加するそうです。 Rod and his friends formed a classic car club, so they want to restore the car and participate a classic car race. ニューヨーク州からジョージア州までは片道約９００マイル（約１４５０�繊法� It is about 900 miles (about 1450 km) one-way from New York to Geogia. [ニューヨーク州→ニュージャージー州→デラウェア州→メリーランド州→ワシントンDC→ バージニア州→ウエストバージニア州→テネシー州→ジョージア州] [New York→New Jersey→Delaware→Maryland→Washington DC→Virginia→West Virginia→ Tennessee→Geogia] この距離を３日間で行ってきたので、ホテルで宿泊した以外はほとんどドライブって感じでしたが。(＾＾；） It was a three-day-trip with the long distance, so we were on the road for the most of the trip except staying at a hotel. This time, we took Milo who was OK on the Florida trip, and Murphy for the first time on a trip! こんなに長距離のドライブはマーフィーにとって初めてだったので少し心配でしたが、 車酔いもそそうもなくマイロもマーフィーもとっても良い子でしたよ！ It was the first time for Murphy to be on the road for a long time so I was little worried about him. However, Murphy and Milo both behaved well and did not get sick or have any accidental pee or poop. 初めのうちは興奮していたけど、そのうちに２ワンとも寝る態勢に。 それも２ワンとも私の膝の上で。。。（＾＾；） At first, they got excited, but the both dogs wanted to sleep later on my lap... これは途中で撮った夕焼けです。あまり良く撮れてないけど。。。（＾＾；） This is a photo of sunset on the way. It is not a good photo though... これはバージニア州を走っている時のビデオです。 Here is the video I took when we were driving in Virginia. 初日はホリデーインに泊まりました。２ワンの分は＄２５の追加料金でした。 On the first day, we stayed at Holiday Inn. The additional charge for the doggies were $25. マイロは私たちといつも一緒に寝ていますが、マーフィーはお店で寝ているので大興奮！ Milo always sleeps with us but Murphy always stays at the shop. So they were very excited! Here is a video that I took in the hotel room. でも、２ワンともホテルの部屋では何故か大好きなクッキーやおやつを食べませんでした。 However, the doggies did not have their favorite cookies or treats in the hotel toom. 違う所に来ているという緊張感が彼らなりにあったのかも知れないですね。（＾＾；） They might have felt little tension of staying in a different place. 夜の食事はホテル内でしましたが、一人＄１５くらいでとっても美味しかったし、無料の朝食も ビュッフェではなく一人ずつ頼める朝食で、食べきれないくらいでした。 写真は撮り忘れましたが。。。（＾＾；） We had dinner in the hotel. It was very good and costed us only $15 per person. The free breakfast was not a buffet style, was like a regular restaurant style with a hearty meal. Sorry, I forgot to take any pictures... 鍵を差し込む音などに反応していまい、１時間おきくらいに吠えてしまいました。（−−；） Only one thing bothered me. Murphy remembered his habit protecting the shop at night.So he reacted to the people walking in a hallway or sound of keys and barked almost every hour. I was worried about it so I ended up sleepless. Rod slept well though. Well, it was the first sleepover for Murphy so he could not help it. 続く・・・ To be continued... |
