As many of you know, I spent the end of last year and the beginning of this year in Hawaii, at a raw food retreat.

There I had the pleasure and honor to meet Elaine Love, who was our chef. She and her wonderful team of people prepared 3 meals for almost 60 people every day for 10 days!

Her recipes are so delicious you will become her fan instantly. I highly recommend her books, and please watch her videos and free recipes and try to do some of them yourself.

Cilantro absorbs mercury

Cilantro absorbs mercury, so if you¡Çre non-vegan and eat a lot of fish, this is a great dish for you!

Bonus: Lime juice not only tastes delicious - it also acts as a preservative and will prevent your avocado from turning brown, so this dish can last for a few days in the fridge. If you have problems with your teeth, be sure to brush after because the citric acid can make them feel very sensitive.

Vegan Tomato and greens salad

Delicious, quick and easy to make.

1 long green onion, diced
1 organic tomato, diced
1 clove garlic, finely minced
1 bit of cilantro powder
green leaves (organic)
1 table spoon of hemp seeds
1 table spoon of sesame seeds
grapeseeds oil
salt to taste

Daikon is good for brain!

Daikon has many wonderful properties

For example, white radish (or daikon) is good for breastfeeding mothers because it prompts lactation. It also happens to be low in calories, but high in nutrition, and is purported to help digestion, soothe sore throats, and relieve asthma symptoms. (But a warning: daikon may neutralize efficacy of herbal tonics and drugs.)

A link to another site revealed additional healthy benefits, noting that daikon is rich source of folic acid, vitamin C, and magnesium – three nutrients that just happen to support brain health and reduce risk of cognitive decline.

One of my favorite recipes:
Slice thinly daikon and make a sandwich with a leaf of shiso, ume paste and white goma seeds.
