Greetings from attendee of the World Chinese Entrepreneur Convention, and organizer of the Commemora

Along with its rapid rate of economic expansion, China is currently seeing impressive growth in its artistic sector, and Chinese art markets are drawing increased attention from all over the world. Fine art is quickly becoming one of China’s four largest areas of investment, alongside fashion, real estate, and finance. With the number of art lovers in China growing to over one hundred million, the Chinese government, as well as the financial sector have begun to actively invest in the production of modern cultural works, and China’s position as a leader in the world art market may not be far off.
As organizer of the World Chinese Entrepreneur Convention, I had the opportunity to come to know a Chinese art master, Shao Fei Wang. Drawing his first pieces at the age of three, Shao Fei Wang eventually became known as the “Picasso of Asia” for his unique artistic style, and exhibitions of his work have been held at numerous locations across the globe. Along with his receipt of numerous international art awards, including the French International Art Award, the value of his works have increased year by year, climbing to over one hundred times their original worth over the course of ten years. With the combined value of twenty of his works being valued at an astonishing three billion yen at the 2007 China International Artistic Works Investment & Collection Exposition (as reported by China Central Television), Shao Fei Wang’s future as an artist will surely be one filled with extraordinary artistic talent and impressive market value.
After the Great Hanshin Earthquake, Shao Fei Wang organized a charity exhibition of his works, and has donated to relief efforts in both Japan and China . To commemorate his recent claim of the United Nations Gold Award in 2007 as well as the Highest Honorary Chinese Fine Art Award in 2009, and to pay tribute to his numerous contributions to society, we are proud to announce the 57th exhibition of the works of Shao Fei Wang at Gallery Horikawa in Kobe . Along with the presentation of several works kept unreleased for over twenty years (including Gyoka no Onna) this exhibition will feature over thirty works, including acrylic, watercolor, pastel, sumi-e, and calligraphy pieces, and is expected to garner much support from the local community.
For the advancement of friendly Japan-China relations and to further cultural exchange, we warmly welcome all to join us for the commemorative exhibition of the works of Shao Fei Wang. Additionally, we would like to express our most sincere thanks to Gallery Horikawa for providing the space for this wonderful exhibition.
