イルミネーションで彩られた雪像や打ち上げ花火などを楽しむことができるイベント「十和田湖冬物語」が６日夜、開幕し、大勢の家族連れなどでにぎわいました。このイベントは冬の時期にも多くの人に十和田湖を訪れてもらおうと毎年開かれていて、ことしは、７日夜から始まりました。十和田湖畔の休屋地区の特設会場では高さおよそ８メートルのねぶたとなまはげの雪像などがライトアップされたり、ＬＥＤを使ったイルミネーションで彩られたりしています。また、雪でつくられた滑り台も設けられ、子どもたちがそりに乗って勢いよく雪の斜面を滑り降りていました。このほか、かまくらの中につくられたバーでは、氷でできたグラスでビールなどの酒を飲むことができるほか、イベント期間中、毎日花火が打ち上られ、訪れた人たちは、光で彩られた雪の世界を楽しんでいました。青森市から来た１９歳の女子大学生は「空気が澄んでいて花火が夏の時よりもきれいに見えました。イルミネーションもとても幻想的だったのでまた来たいです」と話していました。「十和田湖冬物語」は、来月１日まで十和田湖畔の休屋地区で開かれています。
