ドイツで女子ワールドカップ・サッカー大会が開かれており、
日本代表は、ドイツを下し、スウェーデンを破り、決勝進出。
次はアメリカです。
大したもんですねぇ。
男子に比べて女子サッカーは、ちょっと地味ではありますが、
それでも快挙と言えます。
ドイツの知人女性から英語で次のようなメールをもらいました。
By the way congratulations on Japanese women for winning the game versus German women by the soccer world championship...
They are a very good team and the best team should win... But, I'm a little bit cheerless about dropping out the world championship... （ところで、サッカーワールドカップで日本女性チームがドイツに勝っておめでとうございます。 彼女たちはとても素晴らしいチームで、最高のチームこそが勝利を得るのです。
でも、ドイツ・チームが敗れて、私はちょっと元気ないですけど）
政治にしても、原発にしても、経済にしても、ろくなニュースがない中で、日本の女子サッカーは
珍しく、いいニュースです。
頑張れ！なでしこジャパン！
今日本に必要なのは「元気」ですね。

Yesterday it was a very good game from your women. It is properly that they are in the final game.
My husband and I are looking on the final game in Frankfurt / Main on Sunday this week. And we wish good luck for Japanese team...
We are going to Frankfurt / M. on Saturday and we are coming back on Monday next week.
I think it will be a fascinating and worth seeing game.
