英国駐在員からのフォトレポートなどなど・・・♪|
今日は、２年前にウチの嫁さんが渡英していたときに、英会話学校で先生をしていたロディが日本に来てるというので、渋谷で待ち合わせてお昼を食べてきました。

今日は同じ時にロディから教わっていた、２４歳のかわいいお嬢さんも呼んで、４人でご飯を食べながらお喋りしました。
彼は日本で、芸術史からアプローチする歴史を教える仕事をするらしく （２丁目のゲイバーでＤＪもやってるケド・・・ｗｗ） ノートパソコンをテーブルに出して、中世絵画を例にひとしきり講義をしてくれました。
例えば日本では、まず年号や出来事、人名を覚えて、それから文献や絵巻を見たりするけれど、ボクがやりたいのは全く逆のことなんだ、と言って、
その絵画から、作者が込めたメッセージ、そのメッセージの時代背景・思想の根拠、その時歴史上では何が起きていたのか？というアプローチで、
まるでダヴィンチ・コードのミスター・ラングドンのように、とても興味深い講義をしてくれました。
もちろん、話の内容は殆ど英語で行われるのですが （学生時代、上智に留学していたので少し日本語もできます） 、彼の英語はハッキリとしたクイーンズ・イングリッシュなので、聞くだけなら大変わかりやすく、ほぼ理解することが可能です。
久しぶりに本気で英語を変換したので、２時間ほどのお喋りの後は、脳から乳酸が出てクッタリ疲れました（笑）
もっとも真面目な話だけじゃなく、
「ゲイバーでＤＪやってるけど”掘られた”ことはない。」 とか
「もう２ヶ月もヤッテないのでキンタマがスイカみたいになってる。渋谷でナンパしましょう！」 とか、、、
年頃のお嬢さんも同席してるのに、下ネタトーク満載で困ったセンセイなのでありました・・・。

あれから２年・・・、 去年もこんな事を書いた っけか・・・ （笑）
