脱がないわよとロナウドの彼女

SAO PAULO, Brazil (Reuters) - One less thing for Brazilian soccer star Ronaldo to worry about in the run-up to the World Cup -- his supermodel girlfriend says she will never pose in the nude.


Raica Oliveira said in an interview published on Tuesday in the newspaper Folha de S.Paulo that she planned to marry and to have children, but had no timetable set.

Asked if there was any work she would not do, she said: "I could not pose nude. Nothing against those who do, but I never felt right about it. It's not something that would make me proud."

Raica, 22, spent Monday with Ronaldo at the Brazilian team's hotel in Konigstein, Germany, before heading back across the Atlantic for modeling assignments in New York and Rio de Janeiro.

"Raica, the solution for Ronaldo," Folha said, noting that she had helped him deal with his blistered feet. He has been recuperating from blisters on both feet but resumed training with the team on Tuesday, Brazil's squad doctor Jose Luis Runco told reporters in Germany.

Brazil, the defending champion, plays Croatia in its first game next Tuesday in Berlin.

犯罪捜査演習の生徒死体を発見

MIAMI (Reuters) - A group of Florida criminology students working a fake crime scene stumbled across a real corpse on a field trip to study forensics.


The St. Thomas Aquinas High School students were taken to a Fort Lauderdale park on Monday to look for clues at a mock crime scene where the instructor had planted phony "evidence."

"The students went up to this one area ... and found a man with his back against the wall and he looked dead. They thought it was part of the skit," Fort Lauderdale Police detective Kathy Collins said.

There was no sign of foul play and the 45-year-old homeless man appeared to have died of natural causes, she said.

It may not have been a murder, but the discovery of the dead man may have persuaded one teen-ager that crime-scene investigation is not his life's work.

"I don't really think I could take finding any more dead bodies, especially if it was rotting," Juan Cantor, 15, told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel newspaper.

犯罪が行われた様子はなかった。その男は45歳のホームレスで自然死だった模様。

殺人ではなかったかもしれないが、その死体を見たせいで自分は犯罪現場の捜査に向いていないと気づいた生徒もいたようだ。

「多分僕は死体に出くわすのにこれ以上は耐えられないと思う。特に腐った死体は嫌だ」ジュアン・カンター（15）はそう語った。

BELGRADE (Reuters) - A Serb man set his car on fire when he heard how much he had to pay to reclaim it after it was towed away for illegal parking.


An attendant told the daily Press the man was very calm.

"He went to his car, took a few things then opened the hood and set the engine on fire. When it was well ablaze he got back on his bike and rode off."

Philip Cocu (thigh) and Giovanni van Bronckhorst (ankle) also picked up injuries in a bad tempered game.

Australia's Luke Wilkshire was sent off for his challenge on Van Bronckhorst which left the Dutchman nursing heavy bruising to his foot.

"I do not think he wanted to go for the ball," Van Bronckhorst said.

"Luckily for me, the injury is not too bad but if it had have been, I would have missed the World Cup and, in a game like this, I don't think it would have been worth it.

"We knew Australia were a physical team. It is one of their strengths. But I just felt some of their challenges were too hard. After all, we are only one week away from a World Cup."

But while Van Bronckhorst is confident he will shake off his knock in time for the start of the World Cup, there is a doubt surrounding Sneijder's chances.

Dutch coach Marco van Basten said: "Sneijder is limping and his ankle is strapped up.

"We'll have to wait 24 hours to find out how serious it is. We have to wait and see how it develops."

A Business Loan

A businessman walked into a bank in San Francisco and asked for the loan officer. He told the officer that he is going to Europe on business for two weeks and needed to borrow $5,000. The bank officer explained that the bank needed some kind of security for such a loan. So the businessman handed over the keys to a Rolls Royce parked on the street in front of the bank. Everything checked out, and the bank agreed to accept the car as collateral for the loan. A bank employee drove the Rolls into the bank's underground garage and parked it there.
Two weeks later, the businessman returned, repaid the $5,000 with interest, which came to $15.41. The loan officer said, "We are very happy to have had your business, and this transaction has worked out very nicely, but we are a little puzzled. While you were away, we checked you out and found that you are a multimillionaire. What puzzles us is why would you bother to borrow $5,000?" The businessman replied, "Where else in San Francisco can I park my car for two weeks for only 15 bucks?"
