色の白いグルシャン -- エミール・ネリガン

今日のエミール・ネリガンは再度登場のグルシャン嬢である。学習能力の早いネリガンは読んだがけの知識で、ありとあらゆる褒め言葉を繰り出している。彼女は美の女神アフロディテの別名アナデュミオンに喩えられ、極め付きは「パロス人が大理石の腕と命を取るよ！」である。これはギリシャのパロス島で採掘された大理石で、今ルーブルにある「ミロのビーナス」が彫られたという話からきている。グルシャンは色が白いからパロス人に狙われ、腕も取られるよと警告している。随分ませたガキである。

ということでミロのビーナスに登場願った。

Gretchen la pâle

Elle est de la beauté des profils de Rubens
Dont la majesté clame à la sienne s'incline.
Sa voix a le son d'or de mainte mandoline
Aux balcons de Venise avec des chants lambins.

Ses cheveux, en des flots lumineux d'eaux de bains,
Déferlent sur sa chair vierge de manteline ;
Son pas, soupir lacté de fraîche mousseline,
Simule un vespéral marcher de chérubins.

Elle est comme de l'or d'une blondeur étrange.
Vient-elle de l'Éden ? de l'Erèbe ? Est-ce un ange
Que ce mystérieux chef-d'oeuvre du limon ?

La voilà se dressant, torse, comme un jeune arbre.
Souple Anadyomène... Ah ! gare à ce démon !
C'est le Paros qui tue avec ses bras de marbre !

彼女の美貌はルーベンス描く
栄光の画像もひざまずくほど
声はヴェニスのバルコニーで
ゆっくり奏でる弦で最も美しく。

髪は輝く水浴びの流れの中で
乙女の肉体の上半身で分かれ
ステップと新鮮な乳の休止符
まるでケルビンの晩祷の行進。

彼女は異国出身の金髪の女性。
エデン？エレボス？高貴な砂
の大傑作よりは天使だろうか？

彼女はあそこに立つ若木の幹。
従順なアナデュミオン．．．魔物が！
パロス人が大理石の腕と命を取るよ！

<Poesies completes> of Emile Nelligan, that I prdered on Amazon.fr arrived two weeks ago. I am reading his beautiful poems every evening, taking a coffee. In thta moment, I am happy. Thank you again for having presented Emile Nelligan. <Gretchen la pâle> is on page 76. I love this poem, in thinking of Venus of Milo in Lovre.

I like very much the line "C'est le Paros qui tue avec ses bras de marbre!" I think that this poem shows well "aestheticism(唯美主義)".

I recommand you also Theophile Gautier's poem <Marbre de Paros>.^^

Thanks for your information! 唯美主義 is understandable, 耽美主義 is a popular term for aestheticism among our generation. I will consult 広辞苑. I presumed, Emile read <Marbre de Paros>.
