Good afternoon! I wish you a Merry Christmas. This beautiful painting is "The Morning of Snow” (1934) by Miki Suizan (1887-1957) provided by the National Museum of Korea. The National Museum of Korea has opened a permanent exhibition of Japanese art in its Asian Arts Gallery, I will go ther.
As this painting, I hope that you have a White Christmas.
I presnt you <Silent night> in German version, very beautiful Christmas song that every body enjoys singing.

Thank you for your greeting card. I have no idea of 三木翆山. Do you like 美人画? Have you visit the site of 山種美術館?
http://www.yamatane-museum.jp/
山種美術館 was founded by 山崎種二, successful stock dealer, notorious for risky speculation. He had collected many Japanese academicians' works. Among them are 美人画.
You are welcome. Nana Mouskouri can speak 15 different languages? Really? I envy her so much, because I am also very interested in learning foreign languages. But I am not talented as Nana Mouskuri. I think that in general, little european countries speak well more than two or threelanguages(Suisse, Grece, Belgium, Nothern eropean countries...).
Especially, I am interested in English, French, German, Italien, Spenish, Japanese, Mandarin, Cantonesem Vietnamese, Thai. But it is impossible to learn them all. So if I have to choose, I would like to study more French(this is my working-language), English(I like British black tea and I like traveling in Singapore and Hong Kong. English is an international language.
I like communicating with many countries' people if possible) and Japanese(the art that I like best in the world is japanese art). So I would like to go often to Japanese museums including of course Tokyo Ichimatsu dolls museum). I envy all Japanese who live in Japan, because they can go any time to japanese museums for seeing exhibitions on Jaapense traditional art.
If I were Japanese, I would register the class of Ichimatsu dolls Kimono in the Tokyo Ichimatsu doll museum located in Sugamo market. In this museum, Yukiko-san was sold. In this musem, there are sometimes, special exhibitions are held by Ichimatsu dolls' collectors. I think that if have a good chance, I can, maybe, meet Yukiko-san in real in a special exhibition. I am sure that she is possessed by a kind collector.
Because I know that Tokyo Ichimatsu dolls museum is visited by real collectors who take care very well of Ichimatsu dolls. So I feel relieved really. :)
Thank you very much for your presentation on Yamatane museum. I am happy to be able to know for the first time this museum. There are many interesting collections! For exemple, paintings of Uemura Shōen. I bought postcards of Uemura Shōen's paintings in Tokyo. I ould like to visit Yamatane museum.
Yes, if I have lived in Japan, I would go every weekend to various museums such as Yamatane museum, the Tokugawa art museum, so on...Yes, I like japanese 美人画.
Thank you again for your information on Yamatane museum. After having heard a story of this musem from you, I am interested more in this museum.
I am happy to hear that you are interested in 山種美術館, where you can appreciate Japanese masters' works in genre of 美人画. I recommend you to have a view of 上村松園's painting. 上村松園 is a representative woman painter in Japan.
Good afternoon! I hope that you are fine. In Seoul, the weather is fine. I am sorry for my late comment. I was very busy between March and May. But fortunately, until August, I can have more my indivisual time, even if I work, because until August, French people have vacance time. So I can work with more flexible time. :) Thank you very much for your useful information on 上村松園 and 上村 松篁. Very talented mother and son for painting. I envy all of artistes.
It is the art that gives joy and happiness in daily life. I like the art, because it moves peole in daily life and that it has no frontier. That's why the art is very universal and powerful.:)
You may have learned that 上村松園(1875年 - 1949) was a single mother. She is 35 years senior to my mother. She was not woman right activist. She delivered a baby(上村 松篁) at people's disapproval glance. Who fathered 上村 松篁? He is considered to be 鈴木松年, who was academic painter and held fairly successful atelier in Kyoto. 上村松園 was apprenticed to him.
Good evening. I hope that you are fine in this hot summer. This year, in Seoul, it is very hot(more than 35 degrees). So when I have translations to do, I go to "cool" cafes. Fortunately, from evening, there is a wind, so I do not need my folding fan.
Thank you very much for your interesting informations. I am surprised to hear that 上村松園 was a single mother. Today, single mother is not scandal, but in Old era, single mother was a scandal, I think. But anyway, I think that 上村松園 was a brave woman. The most important thing is that 上村松園 has been a very talented artiste.
I have just visited your recommanded site in order to see the brush painting of dragon painted by 鈴木松年. His dragon's facial expression is alive.
This is the first japanese brush painting of dragon for me. In general, I have seen many dragon color paintings of China and Taiwan. So I would like to thank you for having presented me 鈴木松年's brush painting of dragon. I like his dragon painting style. :)
Of course, you can recommand me japanese paintings any time. I like japanese style's paintings. Thank you very much for your recommanded site. I've just visited it and I am happy to find many beautiful paintings of Kaburagi Kyyokata-San. Thank you very much again for having presented me the artist Kaburagi Kiyokata-San. :)
Nowadays also, I have enjoyed painting and drawing Yukiko-San,my favorite Ichimatsu doll in seeing her photos(She is always themain character in my paintings and drawings), Noh mask, Ichimatsu dolls preserved in shrines or possessed by Japanese Icnimatsu dolls fans, Kimono's various patterns, Yukiko-San with Japanese style background.
So I enjoy seeing Japanese paintings in order to learn japanese traditional culture and japanese style. Since that I know Yukiko-San and Japanese art, my life becomes much more enriching, really. So I thank them.
I thank you always to have recommanded me many Japanese painters and paintings. Very precious for me. Merci beaucoup!:)
Good evening. Thank you very much again for your recommande site where I could see paintings of Mr. 伊藤深水. His paintings of beautiful Japanese ladies enable me to see the beauty of Kimonos, too, like paintings of Mr.鏑木清方. In Japanese paintings, I am fascinated always by alive facial expressions, beauty of Kimono's patterns and colors... I do not know how to thank you for having presented me beautiful japanese paintings.
When I see japanese art including paintings, Kimono, Bunraku, Noh mask Ichimatsu dolls, my favorite Ichimatsu doll Yukiko-san's photos, shrines of Ichimatsu dolls... I am always deeply moved by exquisite esthetics. This feeling(deeply moved) that I can't explain is for the first time for me. :)
After March 11, I went to Tokyo and enjoyed the exhibition of Elizabeth Veggie Le Brun, Marie Antoinette's favorite court painter. I remember a copy of the portrait on the wall of 三菱一号館美術館.
三菱一号館美術館 is located just in front of Tokyo station. You should visit.
Thank you very much for your informations on the exhibition of Elizabeth Louise Vigée-Le Brun! I read some French books on her, they were very interesting. I envy you who can go to the exhibition of Elizabeth Louise Vigée-Le Brun in Tokyo(三菱一号館美術館). Thank you again for having presented me the Mitsubishi Ichgokan Museum and the the exhibition of Elizabeth Louise Vigée-Le Brun.

I do not like 鈴木松年's (brush) paintings. You can see his stereotyped 龍 painting below: His contribution in the world of art was just to father 上村 松篁.
