千家山郭靜朝暉
日日江樓坐翠微
信宿漁人還汎汎
清秋燕子故飛飛
匡衡亢疏功名薄
劉向傳經心事違
同學少年多不賤
五陵衣馬自輕肥

千家の山郭　朝暉靜かなり
日日江樓　翠微に坐す
信宿の漁人　還た汎汎
清秋の燕子　故らに飛飛。
匡衡　疏を亢げしも功名薄く
劉向　經を傳えしも心事違えり
同學の少年　多くは賤しからず
五陵の衣馬　自ずから輕肥

英訳

A View in Autumn no.2

Upon the hillside city the sunshine come thro,
I stand on the top which commands a splendid view.
A fishing boat sails and sways before the fair wind
A swallow flies for the south leaving me behind.
His majesty rejected my plans to my shame,
I have attempted to immortalize my name.
It may be that the court promoted my age groups,
Who enjoy hunting in pursuit of deer in troops.

Tu Fu

山際の町に陽の光が射して
私は眺望絶佳の頂上に立つ。
漁舟は順風に帆張り、揺れ
燕は私を後にして南に飛ぶ。
陛下は私の建議を退けられ
後世に名を残す努力も虚しく。
宮廷は私の同期を昇進させ
彼らは鹿の狩猟に興じよう。
