ここ何日かで、テレビ、ラジオでこの曲を聞く機会が何回かあった。

これも何かの縁かもしれない。

シンディー・ローパーといえば、８０年代を代表する歌手。

この人の歌声には何か力があるようでいて、哀愁もある、心に染み入ってくるような揺らぎもある。

この曲、歌詞もシンプルだけれど、心にしまっておきたいような、それでいて、忘れてはいけないようなそんな曲だと思う。

人の心の全てがみれたら、生きにくい世の中になってしまうかもしれない。

でも、大切な人の澄み切った心を知ることができたとしたら、いつも見守っていたいと思うかもしれない。

そして、それは、満たされていくことのように思う。

今日、テレビを見ていたら、ティナ・ターナーが出ていた。

もう68歳だそうだ。

でも、昔は、ボディコン（もう死語？）に身を包み、バックダンサーと華麗なステップを踏み、あのパワフルな歌声を響かせていた。

トークの後に、また、彼女が歌を披露した。

なんと、ボディコン。

もうセクシーとは言いがたいけれど、ステップと振りは、健在だった。

今年、また、ツアーをするそうだ。

世の中には、人を操るようなことをして悦に入る人もいる。中身の無い自分を虚勢や上辺だけの知識でごまかし、威厳をし示そうとする人もいる。

ティなー・ターナーは、体を張って、自分の持っているもので勝負していた。

ちょっと、感動した。

この曲は、大ヒットした曲だし、知っている人も多いように思う。

最初の台詞は、差別を受けてきた黒人の気持ちのようにも思う

この曲は、「A Walk to remember」という映画の挿入歌として使われ、映画を見て初め知った。

映画は、高校生のカップルの悲しいようで、心の温まるラブストーリー。

この曲は、男の子のアプローチに、彼女がだんだんと男の子に惹かれていく時に使われる。

女の子にこんなふうに思われたい（笑）
