フィンランドの友人であり、フィンランドから『ティスカの部屋』の書庫を担当してくれていたティスカのお母様が
７月９日に入院先の病院でお亡くなりになりました。

こんな悲しみのときに なんと言っていいのやら
言葉もみつかりませんが
そしてティスカ自身、どれ程悲しんでいるか
私なんかがイメージも出来ないほどだと思いますが・・・
私は日本からこの母の思い出を歌った曲をティスカに捧げたいと思います。
お母さまのご冥福をお祈りいたします。

Konnichiwa, people. I think that this is my last article to Teiska no Heya... So it's time to say goodbye, サヨナラ... Thank you for all these years, and thank you for all your comments. Hontou ni arigatou! Special thanks to Kissy chan who gave me "own room" in her lovely blog. I am very proud and grateful of this remarkable possibility to write in Japanese blog. m(_ _)m Since September 2008 I have written in total 45 articles to Teiska No Heya. My subjects have been literature (Finnish as well as Japanese), Finnish culture, Seinajoki, music, movies, Moomins and so on... I am an author myself, that's why I wanted to write about literature and culture so much. Perhaps my articles were not so fun, but you can be sure that I enjoyed to write them. However, now I have to go and stop this site... I am sorry for that. (>_<) Pictures of this article were taken in my hometown Seinajoki, exactly in Tornava and Jouppilanvuori. 2008年9月からぼくはティスカの部屋に全体で45の記事を書きました。
ぼくの主題が、文学（フィンランドだけでなく日本も）、フィンランドの文化、セイナヨキ、音楽、映画、ムーミン、その他でした。
...ぼくは僕自身で著者であります。
そういうわけで、ぼくはそれほど文学と文化について書きたかったのです。
おそらく、ぼくの記事はそう楽しくはありませんでした。
しかしながら、あなたはぼくが記事を書くために楽しんだと確信することができるでしょう。
しかし、いま、ぼくは行かなければなりません。

皆さん、長い間Teiskaの部屋に遊びに来てくれて、本当にありがとうございました。
Teiskaが選んだ選択だから、明るく送り出してあげたいと思います。これにて北欧部屋は解散となってしまいますが、いつでもティスカにはこの部屋を残しておくので時々は思い出して遊びに来て欲しいなぁと思います。

The Kalevala is a Finnish national epic which Elias Lonnrot compiled from old national folklore. A final version was published in 1849. This book contains a fifty long poems including spells, myths, folk wisdom, adventures of old heroes (gods) and so on. Kalevala is the greatest and proudest book of Finland, our own "Bible" or "holy book"! ^^ Kalevala has been translated into 49 languages. Two translations are available in Japanese language: version of Kakutan Morimoto (1937) and version of Tamotsu Koizumi (1976). There are also some interesting similarities between Finnish and Japanese mythology, for example a World egg myth. Actually, some scientists have said that Finland is "the most Asian country" in Europe. Finnish people have partly Asian genes (even 25 %), more than other European peoples! Original Finns (Finno-Ugric people) were Nomad people from the East. When they lived somewhere close by the Silk Road about 3000 years ago,they were dealing with other Asian nomad people. That's why there are many similar old myths and legends in Finland, Japan, China and India. If you are interested in Finland or an old mythology, you will love the Kalevala and it's magical style! ^^ Teiska (Finland) Pictures: Romantic paintings of the Kalevala by Akseli Gallen-Kallela (1865-1931), a Finnish painter who is best known for his illustrations of the Kalevala. His work was very important for the Finnish national identity.
