ニセコに行かないか？その3

今回のニセコ、朋友のタイラさんから最初に話があったのは、まだ彼と一緒にハンタマの寮に居た3月でした。

それがこの時期、結構具体的になってきたようで先週の菅平からの電話でのタイラさんの話によると、先ず搬器(つまりリフトの椅子)を何処か別のスキー場に運ぶ事から仕事が始まるという話でした。

まだ詳しい事は分かってないのですが…。

その内容は、これかも…。

東急不動産株式会社(本社：東京都港区、社長：植村　仁)、ニセコ東急リゾート株式会社（本社：北海道虻田郡、社長：橋詰　雅彦）、株式会社東急リゾートサービス（本社：東京都港区、社長：速川智行）は、北海道虻田郡倶知安町にて経営及び運営管理するスキー場、ニセコマウンテンリゾートグラン・ヒラフにおいて、２０１６年１２月運行開始に向けた、ヒラフ上部及び花園地区へアクセスする基幹リフト「キング第３リフト」の架け替え事業概要が決定いたしましたのでお知らせいたします。

国際スキーリゾートとして世界中から注目されている北海道・ニセコエリア。国内外の様々な地域よりニセコグラン・ヒラフに訪れるスキーヤー・スノーボーダーのお客様の数は年々増加傾向で、昨２０１４－’１５シーズンは約５５万人のお客様にご来場いただいております。現在ニセコエリアでは、外資ホテルの誘致が予定され、ニセコグラン・ヒラフのあるヒラフエリアにおいても、新規コンドミニアムホテルが高価格帯で好調に販売されるなど、今後の注目度もさらに高まることが予想されます。

「キング第３リフト」は、１９８５年１２月に竣工した３人乗りリフトからこの度約１２億円の総工費を投じ、４人乗り高速リフトに架け替えいたします。現行リフトの輸送人数より時間あたり６００人の輸送力を向上させることで、リフト待ちの混雑緩和をはかります。また、今回の架け替え工事に合わせて、既存の山麓駅（起点）を約１７０m下部に変更。ヒラフゴンドラ山頂駅からスムーズに滑り込めるように改善し、各コースへのアクセスや利便性を向上いたします。

ニセコ東急リゾート株式会社では、２０１１年度より総投資額約１６億円にのぼる大規模投資としてスキーセンター２棟の新設、ヒラフゴンドラのリニューアル、ホテルニセコアルペン内にスイートルームの新設等を実施いたしました。東急不動産グループでは、ニセコ・ヒラフエリアの活性化の為に、今後も様々な形での取り組みを実施してまいります。

このリフト架け替え工事に伴い、２０１６年４月４日よりキング第３リフト及びキング第４リフトはシーズンの運行を終了させて頂きます。合わせまして、その周辺エリアのコースをクローズさせていただきますので予めご了承ください。
尚、毎年皆様にご好評いただいております白樺コースのスプリングパークについては例年通り４月上旬よりのオープンを予定しております。

キング第3リフト更新に関するリリース

The Tokyu Land Company (HQ: Minato-ku, Tokyo; president: Hitoshi Uemura), Niseko Tokyu Resort Co. Ltd. (HQ: Abuta-gun, Hokkaido; president: Masahiko Hashizume), Niseko Tokyu Resort Service Co. Ltd. (HQ: Minato-ku, Tokyo; president: Tomoyuki Hayakawa) announce that they have finalized the business decision to upgrade the “King 3 Lift” at Mt. Resort Niseko Grand HIRAFU in Kutchan-cho, Abuta-gun, Hokkaido. The “King 3 Lift” is a main lift serving the upper part of HIRAFU and enabling access to the Hanazono area. Operations of the upgraded lift are planned to start in December 2016.

The Niseko area in Hokkaido attracts much attention from all over the world as an international ski resort. The number of visiting skiers and snowboarders from Japan and around the world has grown each year, with the previous 2014-15 season attracting approximately 550,000 people. Presently, the Niseko area expects to attract foreign-owned hotels, and the HIRAFU area has seen a strong sale of high-priced condominium apartments. Niseko Grand HIRAFU expects to attract even more attention in the future.

The “King 3 Triple Lift” was completed in December 1985. We will invest 1.2 billion yen to upgrade it to a high-speed quad lift. This will enable an increase in throughput by 600 people per hour, and reduce lift waiting times. Furthermore, as part of the upgrade, we will move the lift 170m downwards from its present location at base station. This will enable smoother access from other trails, in particular, the summit station of the HIRAFU gondola.

Niseko Tokyu Resort Co. Ltd. has received a massive total investment of 1.6 billion yen since the 2011 financial year, and upgraded two facilities in the ski center: the renewal of the HIRAFU gondola, and the installation of suite rooms in the Hotel Niseko Alpen. The Tokyu Land Company will continue implementing various upgrades and improvements in the future in order to energize the Niseko HIRAFU area.

In order to perform the lift upgrade, the “King 3 Lift” and “King 4 Lift” will suspend operation for the season from April 4, 2016, and the trails in the surrounding areas will be closed. We ask for your understanding and cooperation.

Furthermore, the Spring Park on the Shirakaba trail, which receives many happy customers every year, will be operating as usual, from early April.
