Q-1) Must the host company be the sponsor of an intern's visa?
A-1) No, the host company need not be the sponsor of an internship candidate. Interns
are sponsored by organizations authorized by the U.S. Department of State to sponsor
interns under the exchange visitor programs. Therefore, host companies need only to
submit a training plan detailing duties and responsbilities of the candidates for
internship.
