Statement by the President on North Korean announcement of nuclear

North Korea announced today that it conducted a third nuclear test.
This is a highly provocative act that, following its December 12 ballistic missile launch, undermines regional stability, violates North Korea’s obligations under numerous United Nations Security Council resolutions, contravenes its commitments under the September 19, 2005 Joint Statement of the Six-Party Talks, and increases the risk of proliferation. North Korea’s nuclear weapons and ballistic missile programs constitute a threat to U.S. national security and to international peace and security. The United States remains vigilant in the face of North Korean provocations and steadfast in our defense commitments to allies in the region. 北朝鮮は本日、３回目の核実験を実施したと発表した。これは昨年12月12日の弾道ミサイル発射に続く極めて挑発的な行為であり、地域の安定を損ない、同国が順守すべき多くの国連安保理決議に違反し、2005年９月19日の６者協議共同声明の下での北朝鮮の約束に反し、核拡散のリスクを高めるものである。北朝鮮の核兵器および弾道ミサイル開発計画は、米国の国家安全保障および国際的な平和と安全保障にとって脅威となる。米国は北朝鮮の挑発行為に対し引き続き警戒を怠らず、地域の同盟国を防衛するというわが国の約束をあくまで守っていく。
These provocations do not make North Korea more secure.
Far from achieving its stated goal of becoming a strong and prosperous nation, North Korea has instead increasingly isolated and impoverished its people through its ill-advised pursuit of weapons of mass destruction and their means of delivery. このような挑発行為は北朝鮮の安全を強化する結果にはつながらない。北朝鮮は、強く繁栄した国になるという自ら表明した目標を達成するどころか、無分別にも大量破壊兵器とその運搬手段を追求することにより、同国民の孤立と貧困の度合いを深めている。 The danger posed by North Korea’s threatening activities warrants
further swift and credible action by the international community. The United States will also continue to take steps necessary to defend ourselves and our allies. We will strengthen close coordination with allies and partners and work with our Six-Party partners, the United Nations Security Council, and other UN member states to pursue firm action. 北朝鮮の威嚇行為がもたらす危険に対し、国際社会はさらなる迅速かつ説得力のある行動を取る必要がある。米国はまた、わが国と同盟国の防衛に必要な措置を引き続き取っていく。我々は同盟国およびパートナー諸国との緊密な連携を強化し、６者協議の参加国、国連安保理、およびその他の国連加盟国と協力して断固たる措置を取る。

へえ。人って1日で74％のことを忘れちゃうのね。 また1時間で56％も忘れるなら、鍵をどっかに置き忘れたとしても、ボケでもないよね。
普通この曲線は、人は忘れやすいので記憶定着には繰り返し覚えるのが大事ですよ、ってことで使うらしいけど。
年とってくるといやなことも多いし、こーいうふうに人は忘れる動物でよかったでふ。

女子柔道 Judo coach leaves fate in federation's hands

Japanese women's judo head coach Ryuji Sonoda, criticized for using violence on his athletes 暴行, said Thursday he will leave it to the All Japan Judo Federation to decide his fate.
Sonoda admitted to reporters that he has used violence. "But I did it because I wanted them to train harder," he said.
In December last year, 15 female judoka 柔道家→英語になっている, including members of the national team at the London Olympics last year, complained to the Japanese Olympic Committee of violence and power harassment, mostly perpetrated(罪とかを)犯す・する by Sonoda. After Sonoda, 39, admitted using violence, the judo federation issued him a written warning on Jan. 19. However, it said Wednesday it would not fire him because he deeply regrets his actions.
TOKYO (Kyodo) -- Japanese women's judo coach Ryuji Sonoda said Thursday he will submit his resignation, adding it would be "difficult" for him to continue at the helm after he was accused of physically abusing 体罰 female wrestlers under his guidance.
"It will be difficult for me to go any further with the training of the team," Sonoda said at a press conference held at Kodokan in Tokyo's Bunkyo Ward as he prepared to submit his resignation to the All Japan Judo Federation.
Bullyingいじめ cited as direct cause of student suicide
OTSU (Jiji Press)--Bullying is believed to be the direct cause of the 2011 suicide of a 13-year-old middle school student in Otsu, a third-party committee from the city said in a report Thursday.
The report, based on a final investigation, was submitted to Otsu Mayor Naomi Koshi the same day.
After the student committed suicide by leaping 飛び降り自殺 from his apartment building on Oct. 11, 2011, the school conducted a survey of all its students.
Based on the results of the survey, the city's education board admitted in November the same year that the boy had been bullied. However, it denied his suicide was related to the bullying.

Olympic judo champion Uchishiba given 5-yr prison term for rape
内柴判決
TOKYO (Kyodo) -- The Tokyo District Court on Friday sentenced Masato Uchishiba, a two-time Olympic judo champion, to five years in prison for raping a female member of a university judo club at a Tokyo hotel in 2011.
Presiding judge Tomonao Onizawa said in handing down the ruling 判決を下す that the court "cannot trust at all" the claim by the 34-year-old gold medalist that he had sex with the student with her consent.
According to the ruling, Uchishiba, who coached the women's judo club at Kyushu University of Nursing and Social Welfare, raped the student while she was asleep at the hotel in Hachioji in western Tokyo in the early hours of Sept. 20, 2011 after drinking with several other club members.
Uchishiba is expected to appeal控訴するthe ruling.
