After the bubble collapsed, lots of public money was put into
the struggling banks in order to avoid any confusion in the
financial system and to save the small and medium size
enterprises. This decision caused what we call a moral hazard
in the financial institutions.
TEPCO, with its Fukushima power plants heavily crippled, is
in the disparate crisis and I think that a public support should
be put into it. Reasons are ;1. They are at the top of the
broad supply-chain and small-mediums size enterprises will
probably in a difficult position, 2. There are lots of people
near Fukushima who really need help, 3. TEPCO has to keep
playing an important role of supplying electricity, and there
are virtually no alternative companies, and 4. The operators/
workers engaging in the hard work in Fukushima plants
should be provided with necessary supports from the TEPCO
head office..
I read the editorial of Asahi, which says prominent lawyers
and accountants should gather around to discuss this matter.
Oh, another money game by them and financial boys?
They are now probably not to make fat cat fat, but to make
money out of languished cat !!
