However, it seems to me that the young people, who are indifferent to
money and have never experienced an economic boom but
experienced the Eastern Japan earthquake, release huge energy once
they notice that¡¡their actions are contributing to the society or can

The television program reported during the weekend that the person in
charge of placing an order in the college co-op in Kyoto ordered 4000
pieces of custard pudding rather than 20 pieces intended, early this
month. Due to the use-by date, one college cannot deal with it and so
he asked the other universities in nearby prefectures to cooperate to
sell.¡¡¡¡Then, every co-op was full of the pudding stocks.

specialists say that young guys some time ago are equipped with same

work, but nowadays each has each button or each has 2 or more
buttons to be pushed to get them motivated. It is essential to keep
pushing such buttons patiently.

Kinjo was 6 years old when the US army landed just in front of himin
April 1945. He escaped and escaped every day.  Even after the war
ended, he saw the accidents caused by the US soldiers or met
Okinawa residents living in tents after their houses were deprived of.
He went on to a high-school in Tokyo, but he noted such miserable
status of Okinawa was never known in mainland Japan.

The Ultra Man beat the monsters coming from the universe to protect

Ultra Man was depicted as a kind of a bridge between spacemen and
earthmen.  This shows Kinjo¡Çs wish that he has wanted to be a bridge
between Okinawa and mainland Japan since high-school.

The moon has appeared in the ancient tales like Taketori Monogatari
(The Tale of the Bamboo-Cutter) and also has been the subject of
the Waka poem.

It has been used for the calendar, ie. the lunar calendar, until early

The moon is located about 380,000 km away from the earth, but is
receding from earth by 3.5 cm per year. The earth is under significant
influence of gravity of the moon. The ebb and flow of the tide is a
good example.  Also, the earth's axis has been stabilized thanks to
the moon gravity.

Mr. Chiune SUGIHARA was from Gifu.  SUGIHARA was working in the
consulate of Japan in Kaunas, Lithuania in 1940 during WWII. One day
in summer, the consulate was surrounded by Jews.  Number of
people increased day by day.  SUGIHARA invited 5 representatives
into the consulate and listened to them.  They said that they were the
persecuted Jews and they requested the consulate to issue transit
visas to escape from Nazi persecution.

The official answer from the Japanese government was NO, but
SUGIHARA could not leave them alone and decided to issue the visas.
He continued to write the visas for the Jews day after day from 29
July till 5 September when he had to leave Kaunas.  His fountain pen
was broken, but he went on writing with his pen dipped to the ink
bottle. He hardly slept during the period.  Jews rushed to the Kaunas
station where SUGIHARA was leaving.  SUGIHARA kept writing visas
and issued them across the train window to the Jews until the last
minute.

Sumida Park, Kinshi Park, Showa Avenue and Yasukuni Avenue.
These parks and avenues were established as a restoration work after
the Great Kanto Earthquake. Azuma Bridge and Kiyosu Bridge were
built based on the designs made by the citizens.

It's been 87 years since the Great Kanto Earthquake occurred in 1938.
(till 2010) Magnitude was 7.9. Epicenter in Sagami Bay.
The earthquake caused a great confusion and disturbance in the
Kanto region mainly from more than 100 fires, because the
earthquake started at 11:58 when lunches were prepared and the
wind was pretty strong then due to the typhoon-class low pressure
located in Japan Sea.

A disaster relatively unknown compared to the fires was a damage
from Tsunami. It hit
the places like Kamakura, Zushi, and Boso
Peninsula and some hundred people were killed.  It is difficult to know
the details of the Tsunami and how the evacuation was made, but the
precious record of the Tsunami remains in Urami area in Ito City.
Elementary school students wrote essays about the Tsunami, which
were collected in a book.

It describes what happened then, like the sea started to rise and the
adults did their best to guide the resident to the higher grounds, or
more massive Tsunami hit the area after the first wave receded.
