いつの時代も、「今どきの若者は・・・」と自分たちよりも年下世代との認識のギャップを理解できず、批判したり、非難してしまうことはよくあることです。
"Young men nowadays!!" People easily say this. People tend to
criticize them, not being able to understand the gap of way of thinking with the younger guys. 調査会社のレポートによれば、上場企業で働く20代から30代の正社員のうち、75％もの人が現在の仕事に対して無気力を感じているとの結果もあり、特に「今どきの若者」は、無気力、無関心であるという報道も多い気がします。
It's been reported that as many as 75% out of regular employees of
twenties and thirties working in the listed companies feel lethargic about their job or task. In fact, I think there are lots of articles saying that the modern youths are lethargic and indifferent. しかし、好景気の経験がなく、さらに先の震災を経験を通じ、お金というより、自分の行動が相手の感謝につながる、自分の行動が社会に貢献できていると知った時のエネルギーはすごいものがあるようです。

やる気、モチベーションの専門家によれば、昔の若者は、エネルギーが出るスイッチがほぼ同じで、そこを押せば、なんとかなったようですが、「今どきの若者」は、スイッチの位置がバラバラ、あるいは、２ヵ所、３ヵ所のスイッチを押さないとエネルギーがでない人も多いようですので、すぐに諦めずに、いろいろなところを押し続けることが大切なようです。

昭和41年に初登場して以来、今もシリーズが続き、人気を集めている「ウルトラマン」。生みの親は、沖縄県南風原（はえばる）町出身の金城哲夫さんです。 昭和20年4月、6歳だった金城少年。目の前に米軍が上陸してきて、逃げまどう毎日を過ごしました。戦後も米軍が関係する事故、土地を奪われテント生活する住民を目の当たりにします。東京の高校に進学しましたが、このような沖縄の現状は、本土には全く知られていませんでした。 April 1945. 台風が接近しているので、見れないかもですね。
「竹取物語」はじめ古くから小説に登場し、和歌に詠まれてきた月。明治初期までは暦にも使っていました。

Mr. Chiune SUGIHARA was from Gifu. SUGIHARA was working in the
consulate of Japan in Kaunas, Lithuania in 1940 during WWII. One day in summer, the consulate was surrounded by Jews. Number of people increased day by day. SUGIHARA invited 5 representatives into the consulate and listened to them. They said that they were the persecuted Jews and they requested the consulate to issue transit visas to escape from Nazi persecution. 日本政府の回答はノーでしたが、放っておけない杉原は、ビザを発給します。この年の 7月29日から9月5日にカウナスを離れるまで、来る日も来る日も書き続けます。万年筆は折れ、ペンにインクを付けて書きました。夜もほとんど寝なかったそうです。駅にまでユダヤ人が押し寄せます。杉原は涙ながら、最後の最後まで、列車の窓からもビザを書き続けました。
The official answer from the Japanese government was NO, but
SUGIHARA could not leave them alone and decided to issue the visas. He continued to write the visas for the Jews day after day from 29 July till 5 September when he had to leave Kaunas. His fountain pen was broken, but he went on writing with his pen dipped to the ink bottle. He hardly slept during the period. Jews rushed to the Kaunas station where SUGIHARA was leaving. SUGIHARA kept writing visas and issued them across the train window to the Jews until the last minute. 時は流れ、昭和43年、イスラエル大使館から杉原家に電話がかかってきます。杉原が大使館を訪れると一人のユダヤ人がボロボロになったビザを持って立っていました。最初に会った代表５名のうちの一人だったのです。実に28年ぶりの再会でした。約6000人の命を救った杉原。出身地の岐阜県八百津町には記念館もあります。

隅田公園、錦糸公園、昭和通りに靖国通り。これらの東京の公園や大通りは、関東大震災の復興事業として整備されました。吾妻橋や清洲橋は市民からデザインを募集して、つくられたそうです。
