記事本文を飾り付けてみよう「（番外編４）ファイルをアップロードしてみよう２」

さて、前回に引き続き、今回もGeoCitiesにてファイルをアップロードする方法をご紹介したいと思います。

ファイルのアップロードの前に少しだけ「階層」についてご説明します。

みなさん、パソコンをやっていてファイルを保存する時など、フォルダを作って分類をしている方も多いと思います。

例えば、以下の様にファイルを整理するとします。

[趣味のフォルダ]
　└[スポーツ関係フォルダ]
　　　└[サッカー関係フォルダ]
　　　　　└Ｊリーグ日記.doc

これは、[趣味のフォルダ]の中の[スポーツ関係フォルダ]の中の[サッカー関係フォルダ]の中にＪリーグ日記.docというファイルがある。ということですが、この様にフォルダの中に整理分類している状態を「階層構造」と言います。

上記の例の階層構造を簡易的に書くと以下のようになります。

趣味のスポーツ/スポーツ関係のフォルダ/サッカー関係のフォルダ/Jリーグ日記.doc
（※　各階層を"/"（スラッシュ）で区切ります。）

どこかで見た雰囲気ですね。そうです、実はこれがアドレスの正体なのです。

試しに、この記事の下にある「この記事のURL」という部分を見てみてください。
http://blogs.yahoo.co.jp/i_8jo/349813.htmlと表示されていると思います。

これは、[http://blog.yahoo.co.jp]という住所の[i_8joというフォルダ]の中に[349813.html]というファイルがあるという事になります。

[この記事のアドレスの階層構造]

http://blog.yahoo.co.jp
　└i_8jo
　　　└349813.html

このように、インターネットをするときのアドレス（URL）は実はフォルダの階層構造の事だということをまずは頭に入れておいてくださいね。ちなみに「階層」のことを「ディレクトリ」とも言いますので、この言葉も覚えておいてくださいね。

前置きがまたもや長くなってしまいました。それでは、やっと本題に入りたいと思います。

今回はまずサブディレクトリを作成してみます。なぜ、先ほど階層についてご説明したかというと、今回はこのサブフォルダの設定をしたかったからです。
ファイルのアップロードをするのに、サブディレクトリは必ずしも必要なものではありませんが、初めからサブディレクトリを作り整理をしておくと後々便利だと思います。

それでは、まずは前回開設したご自分のホームページにアクセスしてください。（図1）
アドレスは

http://www.geocities.jp/あなたのYahoo!ID/

でしたね。

次に、中央付近の「ファイルマネージャ」リンク（図1）をクリックして、ファイルマネージャのページを開きます。（図2）

いくつか選択項目がありますが、気にしないで中央下にある「ファイルマネージャを開く」リンク（図2）をクリックすると、やっとファイルマネージャが開きました。（図3）

それでは、ついにサブディレクトリを作成してみましょう。サブディレクトリを作成するには、「サブディレクトリの編集」のところにある「新規」ボタン（図4）をクリックして下さい。

すると、サブディレクトリ作成画面（図5）になりますので、ここでサブディレクトリの名前を半角英数字で入力し、「サブディレクトリの作成」ボタンを押してください。
（※今回はflashファイルをアップロードしますので、サブディレクトリ名はflashとしました。）

すると、作成されましたと言う画面（図6）が出てきますので、ファイル名のところに「flash」というフォルダが作成されていることを確認してください。（図7）
