Labor Dayの連休に少しシティを離れて夏を見送ることにした。 NYからLong Island Rail Roadに乗って約3時間、海辺のリゾート地、Montaukに行ってきた。 この連休が終わるとニューヨークの夏も終わり、本格的に秋がやってくるという。 ビーチは99％がホワイトの人達で、皆それぞれゆったりとホリディを楽しんでいる様子だった。 私の夏はというと、大好きなNYのイベントにも一切参加せず、インターンシップだけに集中した。 そして引越しもし、ベストな物件にも恵まれた。 ちょっとハードな夏だったけれど充実していた。 ジーンズを膝上まで上げて、波と遊んでいるうちに湘南の実家を思い出した。 だからか、あまりに子供のようにはしゃぐ私を友人はぽかんと見ていた。 太陽が照っていて、海も空も青くて、ほんとに気持ちがいい。 I love N.Y. と砂に書いたら、波がさらっていった。 .
