ところで、 この記事の Could Japan, with US backing, have pulled other levers with North Korea? The answer is not clear, but the question can be put another way. If a totalitarian country had abducted US citizens from a beach and carried them back to teach language to potential spies for 25 years, would George Bush or any other US president be standing there with a bag of ashes haggling over DNA test results? 解りやすく意訳していただけないでしょうか

アクエリアン革命さん、こんばんわ♪ 英字新聞の記事や訳はとてもためになりますわ。 でも本当に価値がある記事というのは他国を批判した記事ではなくて、自国を批判した記事だと思いますね。 第６３回国連総会で議長が米国のイラク戦争を非難した記事を載せたVOAの記事 こういう記事をみると、アメリカのメディアの底力を見せつけられた気がしますね。 D'Escoto says it is "undeniable" that some members of the Security Council have "an addiction to war," and he says they are threatening international peace and security. 『安保理の中に”戦争中毒”になっている国があり、国際社会の平和と治安を脅かしていることは”否定できないこと”である』 自国についてこんな強烈な批判ができる日本メディアはあるでしょうか？
