For the beauty of the earth ．．．．．ジョン・ラター ジョン・ラターは現代イギリスを代表する作曲家の一人。 GLORIA(1974),REQUIEM(1985)等 この「For the beauty of the earth」は、1984年にGLORIAのＣＤを発売した際に、作曲者自信の選により同時に収録された、彼の讃美歌の中のひとつ それぞれが短い中に様々な手法が織り込まれ、古来の賛美歌とは違うポピュラリズムにあふれているが、賛美歌本来の、敬虔な輝きは失われていない。 1.
