Tears

 

Tears fill my eyes,

 

wet my cheeks,

 

and overflow one after another.

 

Tears surprise me,

 

disturb me,

 

and make me realize something I couldn't see.

Seasonal feelings ?

I feel irritated for a couple of days.
I have no idea about the reason at all.
I'm trying not to take it out on my family at home.
But I think it is very hard for me, because even their behaviors annoy me.

 

I hear that the temperature is much related to human's emortional conditions.
For example, as the temperature falls by one degree in the morning,
the number of people killing themselves will rise.
Of course I'm not one of them at all, but I can understand the opinion now.

 

Autumn is said to be a nice season for doing anything

for its comfortable weather, but the turn of the season must have some influence on people's feelings.

Don't the Japanese people care about the noise around them ?

Yesterday I went to a shop, Don Quijote, a discount chain store
for the first time in several months.

This time, I don't why, but I was completely tired of the music,
noise in the shop.

I counldn't concentrate on selecting goods with all that noise going on in the shop.

 

Come to think of it, I always don't understand why the background music is on
while the weather forecast is being reported on TV.
I often fail to listen to the weather report because of too loud background music.

 

Once I start noticing the noise, I cannnot ignore it.
But it would be better for me to make efforts not to care about the noise
as much as possible, for I know that the unnecessary noise all over Japan

won't disappear.

Is the sound of a wind-bell is comfortable or not ? 【adding PS.】

In Japan, wind-bells are the symbol of the summer season.
But these days they sometimes become a  problem.

 

As you well  know, many Japanese live in aparment houses.
If only one family put a wind-bell outside of the house, for example in the veranda,
the sound of the wind-bell often changes into the noise for the neighbors.

 

I admit that the small sound of a wind-bell from a distance makes me
feel good, but ringing all day near my house is nothing but troublesome.

 

The lifestyle in Japan has changed, so wind-bell mightn't be the nice symbol

in this season any more.

 

実は昨日ジュリエットの近所でも風鈴がけたたましく鳴り続け、

窓を開けられない位でした。

でも、今朝は静かでホッとしました。

風鈴の音自体が嫌いなわけでは決してないのですが、

四六時中鳴り続けると、騒音に思えます。

ready-made ＞ hand-made ？？？

Are hand-made clothes inferior to ready-made clothes ?

 

The other day, some TV entertainer talked about a story

which had happened to her.

According to her story, she was so annoyed

when a friend of hers said to her,

" Is your dress hand-made ?"

 

She seemed to believe that hand-made clothes were

less attractive than ready-made clothes.

This reminded me of the story

which one of my friends, Yumi, had told me years ago.

 

Both her mother and Yumi had made clothes,

and they were very proud of their dresses.

So, when someone told them that their hand-made clothes

were extremely wonderful like ready-made ones,

they were shocked and irritated.

 

Because they believed that their hand-made clothes were

superior to ready-made ones for everything.

Now when I think of my cases, I've often praised

hand-made goods including dresses, saying,

"Wao, how nice ! It's like a ready-made! "

 

Since I heard the story from Yumi, I've never said so.
