1987(s62)の東京国立博物館の特別展 "金銅仏" の冊子をみてたら、中国北魏時代542年の " 如来及び眷属像 "が出品されていた。光背や眷属の像などもしっかり残り全高79cmのみごとな像である。
ぜひ詳細をみてみたいと思いネットで検索してみた。

DESCRIPTION
This altarpiece is a rare, freestanding example illustrating a style―characterized by attenuated physiques and thick, concealing drapery―that developed at the Northern Wei court in the early sixth century. Maitreya (Mile fo), who played an important role in early Chinese practices, is understood as the Buddha who will become the teaching Buddha of the next cosmic era, when Buddhism, which will have been destroyed, is reinstated. He is identified on this altarpiece by an inscription stating that a certain individual commissioned the sculpture on behalf of his deceased son and expressing the hope that the son and other relatives will eventually be reunited in the presence of a Buddha.

恐らくこれが一つのパーツなんでしょう。そしてこれも大画面に移行して詳細をみることができるのです。光背や眷属たちも、また背面もみることが出来ました。

DESCRIPTION
The Buddha in this altarpiece can be identified as the Buddha Maitreya upon comparison with the larger dated and inscribed altarpiece also on view in this gallery. In both, the Buddha is surrounded by an entourage of music-making apsaras, the angel-like beings that appear frequently in Buddhist art. Here, a pagoda-like structure bearing images of seated Buddhas can be found at the top. The shape of the chamber is similar to those found in Chinese reliquaries and may refer to the remains of a practitioner devoted to the Buddha Maitreya, one desirous of rebirth in the Tushita Heaven, a paradisiacal abode inhabited by this Buddha. The slightly plumper face, squarer shoulders, and softer drapery seen here represent a transition between the court style associated with Luoyang and the fuller bodies and thinner drapery adopted in the second half of the sixth century, after the collapse of the Northern Wei dynasty.

他に半跏思惟像も見つけました。524北魏時代だとあります。
小さい画像で見過ごしそうでした。横からの画像でこれはそうだと確認し、台座の文字に”思惟像”をみつけました。韓三国時代のモノよりも先行するのかもしれない？

このサイトを見ていて、北魏や百済と言った大陸の金銅仏を今の韓国や中国の美術館で探してみても、見ることができるものが少ないかもしれないと気がついた。そうだ戦前に国土を荒らしていた西欧諸国の美術館を探せばいいんだと。勿論日本もその一国に入りますが。東博のカタログには個人蔵のモノも多いがこれらは戦前に入手したものだろうから。
まず、パリのギメ美術館からでも検索をはじめてみようかしら。
