5. NO CONCERN FOR INDIVIDUALS
Another reason young people leave is because in the assembly we care more for the company as a whole rather than the individuals that make up the assembly. Just stay in line and don't step out, or your head will be on the block! It isn’t a place to learn and grow in a safe loving environment, it’s “be perfect, or be gone”! And I can prove this. If it were not the case, then why do we neglect and care less about those who leave? If we truly cared for individuals, we would extend Christian love to those who leave. But instead we adopt the attitude that maybe “for the greater good” we are better off without them, so let's groom those that are still here, and move on. Now, I am very grateful for being raised in the assembly and the firm foundation of teaching I have received in my lifetime. I believe the truths from Scripture and am not at risk of leaving! But why this all really concerns me is that I have friends who are contemplating leaving the assembly, or have left, or just will never come into fellowship. And this really bothers me.
