7. A NAUSEATING SENSEOF SUPERIORITY

My last topic. Iknow quite a few young people who have left the assembly and it was after theyleft that they ended up flourishing in their walk with the Lord.Impossible! We might think so, but it is true. And I also know others who triedcoming to the Hall, but just found it too stifling. (??) gave it an honesteffort, but he just wasn’t flourishing. Now in the church where he goes,he has grown so much and is a thriving Christian who loves the Lord andtries to serve God in every opportunity. When his sister sees that,she gets discouraged, because she feels she is not thriving. We in theassembly have a very over-inflated view of ourselves. We have a misguidedsuperiority complex that we are the only ones on God’s green earth who trulyhave the light and are godly Christians. This is of course false, and there aremany people in other places who put us to shame! Some believers I mostadmire are not in assembly fellowship.
