This is Me

　実在のエンターテイナー、P.T.バーナムのドラマティックな半生を描いたミュージカル映画『グレイテスト・ショーマン』は、7年の月日をかけてつくられたそうです。

　その挿入曲のひとつが「This is Me」です。「他人と違うとここそが自分を特別な存在にしてくれるんだ」ということを歌った曲で、ヒゲ女として人気を博すパフォーマーであるレティさんが、ずっと自分に自信を持てないまま生きてきたけど、自分の殻を打ち破り「見ろ、これが私だ！」と叫ぶシーンで使われています。

　いい曲だなぁ、と感じます。
