Shinji joined Cerezo Osaka in 2006 when he was still in high school.
He chose 26! Ovbiously his preference.

In 2009, Shinji switched the number to 8 once worn by
former Japanese International "Morishima".

Shinji became the TOP SCORER in J2, having 27 goals in 44 league
matches in 2009, boosted Cerezo Osaka to J1.

Shinji, in 2010, scored 7 goals in 11 J1 league matches in mere
2.5 months, before moving to Dortmund.

Shinji was first elected as the Japanese International in 2008 when he
was 19 years old. Number 26.

In fact, I still have this uniform with 26.

Then he moved to Dortmund in 2010.
Dortmund won the championship in Bundesliga 2 years in a row
after he joined. Shinji scored 21 goals in the league, 2 in EL and
1 in CL in those 2 years.

Shunsuke Nakamura (former Celtics, now in Yokohama FM) in 2011.

lost all of them.

① I believe Shinji will do better under Moyes because he will be used
in his actual role rather than in the middle of the park. Whenever
Kagawa has played behind the striker, he's done brilliantly.
I hope this is what United can play like next season in a 4-2-3-1:

Ive been waiting a long time for someone to come out and say
this. Its annoying for me too, to see him being played out of
position. He need to play in a 4-2-3-1 formation with him
playing behind the striker. I hope david moyes understands
where he needs to play. Kagawa can easily be as good as
wesley sniejder once was

すぐスナイデルみたいになれるっていうのがいいですね。
