I may misdiagnosis whether these symptoms were pollinosis... Today, March 3rd is "Hina-matsuri", "the Doll's Festival", or "Girls' Festival" as it is popularly know in Japan. "Hina" means dolls and "matsuri" a festival. Graceful dolls dressed in anceient court costume are displayed on tires of shelves to celebrate girls' growth and good health. It was believed the dolls protect people from sickness and misfortune. The dolls, in a set of 15, represent the Emperor and Empress, their noble court ladies, five musicians, two minsters, and three guards. The dolls are sometimes handed down from mother to her daughter. This photograph used from the catalogue of the shop which sold a doll. size 120cm × 158cm × 174cm This dolls are made by my friend A-chan's mother. Recently, there is no place where you can display full set, so many people are only decorate The Emperor and Empress. |
