Omiyamairi

Our family took our baby to a shrine to pray for blessing yesterday.

She is five-month-old now.

We were going to go to a shrine when she was a one-month-old.

It was too cold to go out with our baby.

昨日お宮参りに行きました。

娘はもう５ヶ月です。

娘が１ヶ月の時に神社へ行くつもりでした。

でも、寒かったので、赤ちゃんを連れて外出できませんでした。

当然ですが、「お宮参り」と言う単語はなかったです。

和英では

赤ちゃんに関連して、『母乳(breast milk)』を調べてみました。

Her milk flows well.
She has plenty of milk.

彼女は母乳が良く出る。

Which is better, the breast or the bottle?
The breast is said to be better than the bottle.
Breast is best.

母乳とミルクではどっちの方がいいんですか？
母乳はミルクよりも良いと言われています。
母乳が最良。

（赤ん坊に）母乳を飲ませる。母乳で育てる。

英語で母乳を話題にすることは絶対ないような気がしたけど、調べてみました。

A newly-married couple

Yesterday our family went to my friend's house.

He is a friend from our college days.

He got married in November last year.

His wife is six month pregnant.

Their baby is due in September.

We are looking forward to seeing him (her).

昨日、私たち家族は友達の家へ行きました。

彼は大学時代の友人です。

彼は去年の１１月に結婚しました。

奥さんは妊娠六ヶ月です。

９月に出産予定です。

赤ちゃんに会うのが楽しみです。

今日も時間が掛かりました。

簡単なことなのに、全然出てこなくて、辞書引きまくりです。

辞書と『英語で日記を書いてみる』と言う本も参考にしました。

辞書を引いて気になった例文･単語

Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater

直訳：風呂水と一緒に赤ん坊を流してしまうな。

『うっかり大事な物を捨てるな』と言うことわざです。

もっと違うのが浮かばなかったのか･･･。

candied sweet potatoes

これは「大学芋」

食べたくなってきました。

A visiting day

Today is a visiting day of my son's kindergarten.

Children caught wood louses with their parents.

My son doesn't like insects.

Neither my husband nor I like.

My son fearfully caught wood louses.

On the way home from kindergarten, he set them free.

We can't have them at home, because we live in an apartment.



今日は息子が通う幼稚園の参観日でした。

子供たちは親と一緒にだんご虫を捕まえました。

息子は虫が好きではないです。

だんなも私も好きではないです。

息子はおそるおそるだんご虫を捕まえました。

幼稚園から帰る途中、だんご虫を逃がしてやりました。

うちはアパートなので飼う事ができないので。





少ない文章ですが、辞書を引きまくったので、今日もとても時間が掛かりました（汗）

恥を忍んで、載せてます。

英語日記スタート

英語で日記を書いてみることにしました。

なるべく続けたいと思ってますが、いつまで続くか･･･。

間違いの指摘は大歓迎です。（勉強になりますので）

I send my son to a kindergaten on foot every day.

He enjoys it.

My husband took a day off because he is going to see my son's class.

My son and he are looking forward to tomorrow.

Monday is a substitute day off.

私は毎日徒歩で息子と幼稚園に連れて行きます。
彼は幼稚園が好きです。

だんなは保育参観があるので、休みを取りました。
２人とも明日を楽しみにしています。
月曜日は代休です。

こんな短い文章なのに、すご〜く時間がかかってしまいました･･･。

『好き』を和英で調べていたら、こんな例文が出ていました。

You two got together because you liked each other, so why don't you give it another try?

[　好きで一緒になった仲じゃないか、もう一度やり直してみては　］

長女が泣き出したぁ〜！
