さて、グラスゴー到着。そして、今回はカウチサーフィンにて宿泊先を確保してあるので、それに従い彼らの家まで向かう。グラスゴーに到着したのが8時過ぎ。結局彼らの家に着いた頃には9時を回ってた。
さて、そこで待っていたのはカナダ人のローラとドイツ人のアレックスのカップルともう一人、カナダ人の女の子。
挨拶と自己紹介をして、紅茶を飲みながらまったりしてると、すでに午後10時半。そして、皆ベッドに。カウチといってもホステルのベッドに比べたら快適だ。
そして、翌朝9時過ぎに起床。ローラは仕事に行くところ、アレックスは書き物を書きに図書館へ行くところ。おれも、着替えてから街歩きにでかけた。
まずはいつもの通り、ツーリストインフォ、そしてその後でこの前買ったイギリス遺跡パスで行ける所に行くことにしたが、その前にやることがある。半月程先の目的地での必要そうな服を見て周るのと、次の目的地でのカウチの確認だ。カウチはOKもらったのだが、時間がなくて返事ができてなかった。
そして、教えてもらった無料のWi-fiがあるところでチェックしようとすると、Wi-fiがダウン中（昔の仕事を思い出す言葉だ。。）。他にも行ってみるが、そこもダウン中で予期せずインターネットへのアクセスに時間が掛かってしまう。そしてようやくネットに繋げ、メールをチェックし、返答をしてるとすでに3時前。
グラスゴーに来たのは理由がある。
セルティックの試合のチケットを買ったからだ。でも買った翌日くらいに中村俊輔は出ないことがわかったけどね。
まぁそれでもいいや。20ポンドだし。でもチケットは日本に送られる。当日、スタジアムでもらえないか問い合わせのメールを出しても戻ってこないまま当日を迎えた。そして、チケットカウンターは4時までしかやってないらしい。とにかく、電話してみるが誰も出ない。なんとか繋がって6人待ちのまま電話を待ってると、カードのクレジットがなくなりそう。仕方ないので、スタジアムまで行くことに。ギリギリか？着いてみれば4時5分。しかし、チケットカウンターは開いている。というか、見てみるとキックオフまでやってると書いてやがる。。ネットと違うんですけど。。
とにかくそんなこんなで無事チケット入手。でも、もう4時過ぎ。市街に戻れる頃には4時半過ぎ、そして7時45分キックオフ。あんま時間ない。。ということで、そんなこんなでグラスゴーで初めて何も見れないで終わった。街は歩き回ったけど、あんま惹かれるものもなかったし。クラクフとワルシャワの関係に似てるかな？
まあでも、一度市街に戻り時間をつぶし、スタジアムに戻り、入場。席は横からのど真ん中。逆側にベンチがあり、結構前のほう。マンUの時とは違い豆粒なんて感じじゃない。でも、結構席は空いてる。
そして、キックオフ。両チームともにまあまあチャンスを作り、後半になってようやく点が入る。アウェイのハーツに。
ハーツのサポーター席は大盛り上がり。あんな少数なのにすごい歓声だ。
そして、後半80分頃、寒いし、このまま最後まで見ててもセルテイックは今日の調子じゃ点はいらなそうだし、いつになったらバスに乗れるか分からないから85分くらいで帰ろうかな？と思ってると、85分、ハーツがまた点を決める。その瞬間席を立ったら、周りも皆一斉に立ってスタジアムを後にしだす。半数以上はその時に席を立ってた気がする。
そして、無事1本目のバスに乗り、市街に戻り歩いて家まで戻り、少し話をして就寝。
そして今日、グラスゴーを発つ。
彼らとお別れをして、メールをチェックして一路次の目的地までだ。
So, I arrived Glasgow. In this town, I get accommodation by CouchSurfing. So, just follow their instruction and go there. Arrived @Glasgow around 8pm, and arrived their home at around 9pm.
There, couple of Canadian girl, Laura, and German guy, Alex, and another Canadian girl.
Say hi to them and relax with tea. Then, it was already 10:30pm. Then, everybody go to bed. Couch, but it's more comfortable than bed in hostel.
And, woke up at 9am in this morning. Laura is about to go to work, Alex was about to go to Library for writing. And me, change clothes and go out to walk around the city.
At first, as always, been to Tourist info, then decided to go to the place where I can go by using British heritage pass I bought few days ago. But I've got something to do before. Look around the clothes what I ganna need in the destination half a month later. And, confirm about the couch in the next destination. I've got ok, but didin't have a time to get back to him.
And, been to place where Wi-fi will be available and checked but Wi-fi is DOWN(make me remember my job I used to do). Been to other place but there as well and spent lot of time to access to the internet unexpectedly. Finally get connected and checked e-mail and get back to them but about 3pm now.
I have a reason why I came to Glasgow.
Because I've bought football match of Celtic. But I noticed Shunsuke Nakamura won't be in the game after I purchased ticket.
Well, it doesn't matter. Only 20pounds. But, ticket will bes sent to Japan. So I inquired to them if it's possible to pickup ticket at stadium, but they never get back to me by today. And, ticket office is open only until 4pm? Oh, come on. Call to them but nobody pickup. Get connected but 6people in the que and hold on the phone, but credit was about to over. So I had no choice to go to stadium to check with me. Arrived @4:05pm. Almost too late? But ticket office is still open, moreover, they advertise till kick off. It's different on the web..
Anyway, get ticket but already 4pm. When go back to central, could be around 4:30pm. And, kick off at 7:45pm. I have not much time. So, it was first time not to see anything in the town. Walk around the city, but nothing attract me a lot. It's very similar to Krakow and Warsaw.
But, been back to central once, kill time, back to stadium then go inside. My seat is just center of the North Stand. To the opposite side, there's bench and not far away from the field. Not like when I saw in the Old Trafford, Manchester United. And, there's lot of vacant seat.
Then, kick-off. Both teams made some nice scene and in the 2nd half they made a goal. Away team, Hearts.
Fan of the Hearts give a big cheer. Not so many of them but it's really big.
And, around 35min of the 2nd half, it was cold, and Celtic seemed like not enough to make goal against Hearts and maybe I can't imagine when I can get on the bus. So I was thinking about to go away around 85min. And just around 85min, Hearts made another goal. I stand up at that time, but others as well. They try to go away too. Seems like more than half of them.
And fortunately get on first bus and back to central. Then walk back to the home and talk with them a while and go to bed.
And today, leaving Glasgow.
