Today, I've been to Ribe, the oldest town int Denmark. But, it was begin with trouble..
Before 10am, I checked out hostel at Aarup. And, the train supposed to come soon, about 5 min. But it didn't come.
Wait a second.. Check timetable again, then, there's sign of Ma-Fr.. Sxxt, it's holiday!! Wait another 1 hr again.. Reading, reading, reading again.. Change the train twice, then arrive at Ribe. Been to YH, then dorm is all occupied. I had no reservation and they seemed like busy so I thought it could be.. Asking to them, and there's a festival tomorrow in Ribe. That's why everybody here. Then, hostel staff offered me if it is ok just a matress in the room I can stay here with half a price of dorm. For me, it is alright just for the place to sleep and I can take a shower in another place so it's great offer for me. It is pleasure that I can save money!! Thus, I decided to stay in the room with matress.
Well, anyway, leave my backpack, just go walk around Ribe. Big church and cathedral. It looks like really medieval town. Some buildling owns the year of the foundation and some of them is in 1800's and some of them is more before.
Hanging around town, it already passed 8pm. It's still really bright outside though I didn't noticed. It make my body clock keep bad time.
Getting hungry, order kebab like thing at the pizzeria on the street, buy beer at Kiosk and enjoy it just in front of Church. Oh, it's freezing!! As sun goes down, it's getting really freezing.
Go back to pizzeria, drink one cuup of coffee, confabulate with staff for about 30min. Pizzeria close at 9pm so after that he give me some guide around town. According to him, around 12pm, pub will open and people are come back. Chatting for about 20min, then, say good-bye.
Well, today's main event, "night patrol" start.
I've also heard night patrol is exist in Germany too. Night patrol, is the patrol and guide by one old guy with old-time clothes. With lamp and morning star, it very fitted with medieval town. And, town at night is awesome too.
About an hour later after night patrol, after 12pm, I've been to pub, and drink over there, make drinking pal, and keep drinking until 4am. Oh my god, can I get up tomorrow?
Anyway, I write too much..
今日は、デンマークで一番古い街、Ribeに行く。が、初っ端からトラブルだった。
10時前に、Aarupのユースホステルをチェックアウトして、5分ほどで、すぐ電車が来るはずが来ない。。
もしかして。。時刻表を見てみると、Ma-Frが。というと、祝日かよ！また、1時間待たなきゃ。。またまた読書が進む。2回、乗り継ぎをして2時間ほどかけてRibeに到着。ユースホステルに行ってみると、ドミトリーは満室とのことだった。予約はしてないし、忙しそうだからありえるとは思っていたが。聞いてみると、明日Ribeで祭りがあるらしい。そのため、皆、泊まってる。そこで、マットレスだけを敷いた部屋でよければ半額でとのことだった。願ってもない。おれは寝れればいいし、シャワーとかは、別の場所で浴びられるし言うことない。お金をかけないですむならありがたい。ということで、マットレスだけ敷いた部屋で一泊することに。
まぁ、とりあえず荷物を置いて、Ribeの街歩きに繰り出す。大きな教会に、お城。本当に中世の街並みだ。建物には、年号がふられているものもあり、1800年代や、それ以前のものもある。
フラフラとしてたら8時を過ぎていた。本当に明るいから、全然わからない。。時間間隔狂うなぁ。
腹も減ったし、通りにあるピザやでケバブっぽいものを頼んで、ビールをキオスクで買って教会の前で満喫。寒っ！日が傾いてきて、一気に寒くなってきた。
ピザ屋にもどり、コーヒーを一杯飲み、30分ほど店員と談笑。21時には店が閉まるので、その後、そこら辺をちょっと案内してくれた。彼が言うには、また、12時ごろになると、パブとかが開くらしい。20分ほど話し、また別れる。
さぁ、本日のメインイベント、『夜警』が始まる。
ドイツにもあるらしいが、夜警は、一人の男が、昔の格好をして、いわゆるパトロールとガイドをやるもんらしい。ランタンと、モーニングスターを持っていて、中世の街並みにふさわしい。また、夜の街並みは一段と素晴らしい。
夜警が終わって、1時間ほどして、12時過ぎ、パブに行って飲み友達を作って、4時まで飲んでた。やべぇな。明日、起きれるかな。。
にしても、書きすぎだな。
