Mixed in English and Japanese
昨日、遅ればせながら、ボランティア活動をしてきました。
いとこが幹事の一人として活動しているのですが
以前から声を掛けてもらっていたのですが
体調不良などあり、なかなか参加できず、やっと行ってきました。
You may think, " it was too late !".. but finally I joined the voluntary group,
"Support Japan by Quilting" as a volunteer, yesterday.
My cousin has worked there as a organizer since 3.11 disaster.
So she always asked me to join.
But I couldn't do that because of my sickness, as you know.
Now I am getting fine, finally I have joined there !
何をやっているか言えば、被災地を支援しようと、世界各国からキルトが届き
それを一つ一つずつパッキングし、被災地に向け発送するという作業です。
もちろん、このグループでも沢山のキルトを作り、どんどん被災地へ向け発送しています。
What we are doing is to send hear-warm quilting,
which people made for supporting Japan from all over world,
to north-east Japan, 311 disaster.
昨日は、フランスからの大量なキルト、
段ボール２７箱、キルトの数１０４２枚届き
その発送作業でございました。
フランス大使館の方もいらっしゃり、メディア（朝日新聞、東京新聞）の取材もあり、
大掛かりなプロジェクトです。
Yesterday, 27 big boxes was arrived from FRANCE, 1024 quilting!
So we had unpacked them and re-packed one by one
for sufferers in North-east Japan.
One lady from French Embassy and many media for interview came there.
It was very big project.
フランスの方がこんなキルトまで作ってくださるとは、本当に感激。
How nice ! French people made this quilting !
Put some Japanese word, means "good night" .
パッキングに大忙し。
Very busy to pack all of them.
Many message cards also was arrived.

You can see what happened in France when quilts were transported. たった一日のボランティア活動でしたが
沢山の善意を肌で感じることができ
本当に幸せなひと時でした。
このキルトを作った人、受け取った人、
繋がる瞬間って、
言葉にはできないような感動が沸き起こるんだろうな、と感じました。
My voluntary work was just one day.
But I was really very happy to feel their heat-warm praying.
When people who made these quilts
and people who receive them are be connected each other,
the moment would be wonderful, priceless and wordless.
I think that it would be the most peaceful.
貴重な体験をありがとう！
日本のために皆さん、ありがとう。
Thank for good opportunity for me.
And thank you for your praying for Japan.

サンマロデの目的、特になし（笑）。 海を見てゆっくりお正月を過ごすこと、として行った今回の旅。 Our pourpose of stayin St. Malo was nothing. Just to realx to see SEA at New year's day. なので、チビ太と歩いて、食べるだけ・・でした。 So I did just walking with my dog and eating there. お散歩だいすき、チビ太くん。 "I like walling !! " Chibita. 潮が引いている昼間は砂浜があるので、歩きます。 On day time, sea side line go back, so we can walk on beach. 海側から見た城壁と町 The wall and city from sea side. その後街歩き・・・。 Then walking to centrum. 早速美味しいものにつられる愛犬。 CHibita found something good soon. カンカル産のカキ！ Oyster from Cancalue ! 美味しそうなチーズ屋、 This cheese shop loooked so very nice.. そして、ブルターニュ名物シードル（リンゴ酒）とクレープで休憩。 And then, had a break with Cidre and crepes, typical Bretagne. そして・・・夜には、ホテルに予約してもらったレストランへ・・。 At night, went to a restaurant which our hotel made a reservation... 英語ができる人が一人しかおらず、フランス語でずーっと説明してもらったので よくわからなかったのですが・・・ there were one waiter who spoke in English, so they always explained menu etc. in French, so couldn't understand well. "このワインが美味しい"と勧められた飲んでみたワイン。 "this wine is very nice! " they recommended us, so tasted it. ちょっと樽の味がする感じですが、どうやら今日の料理にはこれがいいらしい。 Taste was a little bit "wood" galon. But it would be nice with our dinner...they said.. そして、お正月の夜の料理は、じゃーん！ Our new year's dinner is following... jaja--n. オマールエビをはじめとし、８−９種類くらいの海鮮盛り合わせです。 これを二人で食べるとは・・・かなりきつかった・・・。 Homar and another shrimp, maybe there were 8 or 9 kinds seafoods on the plate. This was too much for 2 persons. しかし、完食。 But finished to eat all. 欧州で行ったレストランの中で、一番オススメなところに感じました。 This restaurant was the best one for us, we have ever been...in Europe. 機会がありましたら、ぜひ、このレストランへ！ When you have a chance, please go to this restaurant !! ここまで読んでくださり、ありがとうございました。 Thank you for your reading here. 皆さまにとってよき１年となりますように。 Best wished your wonderful 2010. |

なぜか、フランスのサンマロで年を越すことになった我が家。 ２年前に一度行ったのですが、再訪したいと思った街のひとつ。 Our new year 2010 was at St.Malo, in france. We've been there in 2007 as the first trip in Europe for us. At that time, didn't have enough time, so we came there again. その前に、ルアーブル（ノルマンディー）で一泊、フランス最大の港町。 Before that, one night at Le havre (normandie) ,the biggest port town in france. 英仏海峡 See England-France 写真の向こうには、イギリスがあります。 Over there, there are ENGLAND. ノルマンディー橋でセーヌ川を渡り、サンマロへ。 Took the normandie bridge through the river Sine. 通行料は、５ユーロ。 Tool is 5 euro. すいません、写真の整理が追い付かず・・しばしお待ちを。 Sorry I can't catch up with preparation for photos. 今日もいいお天気！この空は、オランダではなく、パリです！ It was very nice weather, this sky was not in NL, it was in Paris !! 突然ですが、現在パリへ来ています。 目的は、アートでもない、ワインでもない・・・。 そうです、ユニクロです！！ Now I am in Paris, you may think "what are you doing ?". My pouporse is not "Museum for art", " drinking wine ".. It is... to come UNIQLO (japanese brand) for shopping. 先月オペラ座の真横にオープンしたユニクロです。 Last month, UNIQLO was opened next to the Opera theater. 入店しようとすると・・・「あれ？まじですか！！」、そうです、並ばないといけず。 When I entered ths shop, it looked a little bit busy... I had to make a long line for entering... てっきりセールか何かかと思い、後ろにいたフランス人のお姉さんに聞いてみると 新しいお店だからみんな興味があるとのこと。 逆にどんなブランドなのか、聞かれてしまいました。 I couldn't understand why I had to make a long line, so I asked a lady back to me. She said that everybody was interested in this NEW shop, that's why it was very busy. On the other hands, she asked me "what is UNIQLO ?". 無事店内へ。 Finally ... inside... 試着する際は、試着する数の番号札をもらいます。 When we try wears, they give us the number how many item we try. お値段は、やはり日本に比べ３０％位高め、サイズもヨーロピアンサイズとなっており 品揃えも、日本に比べると少なめですが、 ひさしぶりのユニクロに心躍る瞬間でした。 The price is a littel bit expensive, compared with Japan's price. Maybe about 30% increased.. All size is also European size. Line-up of product is also not so many compared with Japan. But UNIQLO shopping was very very great time for me 気になるフランス人の方は・・ヒートテックを手にする方多かったようにお見受けしました。 And for french people, I saw that many people bought HEAT TECH there. オランダにもユニクロこないのかな・・・。 I really hope that UNIQLO would come to NL, too. |

（しばらくご無沙汰でごめんなさい。） (sorry for my long silense.) 昨晩の美味しい夕飯で元気チャージ。 翌日は、元気に市内観光、愛犬も一緒です！ My battery was charged by very nice dinner last night. So next day we went to sight-seeing with my dog !! 早速、どーんとノートルダム大聖堂。 すごい迫力でした。 At onece, Cathedrale Noutre-Dome appeared soon. I felt a lot of power from this church. 愛犬も大喜び（笑）。 My dog looked also happy. そして、歩く・・・歩く・・・。 And walk and walk... イタリアからかなり北上してきたので、気候も涼しめでしたが やはり・・・暑い。 We came to NORTH direction from Italy, so temparature was a little bit low, But it was really really hot !! 愛犬もいよいよお疲れモードで、へたり犬。 My dog was very tired and then lay down. あまりにも暑かったので、しばしCAFEに入り休憩。 愛犬にもたくさんのお水をサーブしてくれました（嬉）。 It was really hot, so tea break at Cafe. My dog also drinking a lot of water served by cafe. すると、他のお客さんだったとってもきれいなフランス人お姉さんに 「ちょっとおたずねしても・・・いいでしょうか。 これって、もしかして柴犬？？」。 どうやら、柴犬がとっても欲しかった・・とか・・。 愛犬を沢山撫でて遊んでくれ、鼻の下が伸びたチビ太でございました。 And then, one beautiful young lady who had tea-break as well, asked "Can I ask you ? Is this dog...maybe SHIBA ?" She really wants to get SHIBA dog now, so asking us. She stroked Chibita many times and played a little bit. He looked so happy, like he was on top of the world.... 暑かったせいもあり、あまり十分に市内観光できませんでしたが 愛犬も一緒に街を歩くことができ、とても楽しいひと時でした。 （イタリアでは、やはり暑すぎて街に連れ出せませんでした） We didn't see many place because of hot weather. But we could spend time with my dog there. it was very nice time for us. （We couldn't take him to centrum in Italy at all, because it was very hot for him.) 今回の旅行、8泊9日、往復約3千キロのドライブ旅行でしたが 愛犬も一緒に、また家族の絆が深まった・・・というものでした。 忙しい仕事の合間、休みをとり、旅行に連れて行ってくれたダンナ君にも深謝です。 Our drive trip took 8night, about 3thousands km(round trip) with my dog. It was very long but at the same time, our bond of family got tight much more. And I want to say to Mr.Husband "thank you for nice trip and summer vacation." そして、ここまでお付き合いくださった皆様、本当にありがとうございました。 残暑厳しいかと存じますが、皆様くれぐれもご自愛のほど。 And thank you for reading here. In Japan it is the hottest now, please take care. 帰り道 on the way home. |
