Law enforcement officials report synthetic fentanyl flowing over the Massachusetts border into New Hampshire towns and cities. The drug is anywhere from 50 to 100 times stronger than heroin.
Law enforcement experts in the state say that while many drug users are unaware they are buying fentanyl, some are seeking out the drug for a more powerful high. But as the numbers show, chasing that feeling comes with a powerful price.

Crack cocaine in vagina woman dies

One disturbing consideration of the CIA's covert drug operations is that the introduction of narcotics into black areas of American cities was deliberate.
Just as the Agency distributed LSD in the 1950s and 60s (which helped to reduce the effectiveness of the anti-establishment youth movement at a time of great domestic social unrest), so heroin from Southeast Asia flooded black communities at the height of the urban rebellions of the late 1960s.
Similarly, the epidemic of crack cocaine in America's inner cities in the 1980s helped to crush any potentially effective movements among the nation's angry, disenfranchised blacks.
There is no evidence that the CIA supervised the distribution of crack cocaine to the black community as a matter of policy.
Nonetheless, the effects of the drug blight - the blunting of social protest, an excuse to imprison hundreds of thousands of young black men for whom there are no jobs - have certainly been tolerated and appreciated by US officials.
During a demonstration by 2,000 Los Angeles blacks to protest about the CIA's involvement in importing Contra crack cocaine into the US, Maxine Waters , a congresswoman representing LA's South Central district, one of the areas worst hit by the crack epidemic, declared:
