旅立ちのとき 〜子犬たちの新しい飼い主の方へ〜

今日は一日雨模様。

うちの実家の「はな」（柴犬２歳と７ヶ月）のベビーたちが貰われていきました。

ボクがきみ達にであったのは今年の４月３０日。

生まれたばかりのきみ達は眼も見えなくて。
ママのおっぱいの匂いだけがすべて。

きみ達は僕たちをいっぱい癒してくれた。

〜世界中の新しい飼い主の方へ〜

１・ぼくの寿命はだいたい１０年から１５年。

少しでもあなたからはなれているのは、ぼくにとって本当につらいんだよ。
だからぼくを飼う前にそのことをじっくり考えてね。

My life is likely to last ten to fifteen years. Any separation from you will
be painful for me. Remember that before you buy me.

２・あなたがぼくになにを望んでいるのか・・・

理解するための時間を下さい。

Give me time to understand what you want of me.

３・ぼくを信頼してね！

．．．それだけですごく幸せだから。

Place your trust in me-it's crucial to my well-being.

４・ぼくを長時間しかったり、罰として閉じこめたりしないで。

あなたには仕事や娯楽、気晴らしがあって、友達もいるけど・・・、
ぼくにはあなたしかいないんだ。

Don't be angry at me for long and don't lock me up as punishment.
You have your work, your entertainment and your friends.
I have only you.

５・ぼくにときどき話しかけてね。

ぼくはあなたの言葉を理解できないけど、
あなたがぼくに話しかけてくれるときの「声」を理解するよ。

Talk to me sometimes. Even if I don't understand your words,
I understand your voice when its speaking to me.

６・あなたがどんな扱いをぼくにしているか・・・

しっかり覚えておいて。
ぼくは忘れないよ。

Be aware that however you treat me, I'll never forget it.

７・ぼくをたたく前に、このことをよく覚えておいて。

ぼくにはあなたの手の骨を簡単に砕くことができる歯があるんだよ。
でも、ぼくはあなたを噛まないって決めているんだから。

Remember before you hit me
that I have teeth that could easily crush the bones of your hand
but that I choose not to bite you.

８・もしぼくがいうことをきかなかったり、

強情になったり、怠けたりしても、ぼくを怒る前に、
ぼくが何か困っていないかどうか考えてみてほしいんだ。
たとえば、ぼくの食事は大丈夫か、外の強い日差しの中に長時間放置していないか、
ぼくがだんだん年老いてきて、心臓が弱ってきているかもしれないか・・・。

Before you scold me for being uncooperative, obstinate or lazy,
ask yourself if something might be bothering me.
Perhaps I'm not getting the right food, or I've been out in the sun too long,
or my heart is getting old and weak.

９・ぼくが年老いても、世話をしてね。

あなたもぼくと同じように年老いていくんだよ。

Take care of me when I get old; you, too, willgrow old.

１０・ぼくの命が終わりに近づき、旅立つとき、

見ているのがつらいとか、ぼくの最後のお別れには付き添わないとか決していわないで。
あなたがそばにいるだけで、ぼくは本当に落ち着けるんだ。
覚えておいてね・・・ぼくはあなたのことが大好きだって。

Go with me on difficult journeys. Never say, "I can't bear to watch it,
or, "Let it happen in my absence."
Everything is easier for me if you arethere. Remember, I love you.
