2004年9月に、二回目のガーナ訪問の復路、英国の北・東海岸町スカボローを訪れました。

　　　　　　　　　　　　　かの有名なフォークソング：スカボロー・フェアに出てくる町です。

スカボローは、その昔ヨーク地方の中心地として市が立ち、それがスカボロー・フェアです。

その後は、英国最初の保養地として、お城や温泉などの施設を初めとした観光地として有名です。

　　　　　　　　　　　　また　セント・メアリー教会に、『アン・ブロンテ』のお墓があります・・・・
