We had the last Ikebana class as NPO activity.

6 ladies including one guest enjoyed Ikebana as usual.

Flowers were seasonal beautiful peonies, pinks and leaves

called New Zealand hemp.

2 ladies got the certifications of completion. Both leave Tokyo in

July. It's so nice of the members to prepare lovely food with summer

drink for the final class.

NPO活動の最後のプログラムでした。ドイツから遊びにいらしていた

ゲストの方も入れて6人の方がいつものように活け花を楽しまれました。

花材はシャクヤク、ナデシコ、ニューサイランでした。

先生からお二人に終了書が渡されました。お二人とも7月にはご帰国です。　

メンバーの持ち寄りの品と冷たい飲み物で別れを惜しみました。

Today's sumie lesson was the last lesson organized by NPO Tsukushiclub.

Three ladies enjoyed painting bamboos on large sheets of paper. The bamboos

they painted were really dynamic and powerful. They have made a great progress.

Two ladies have exhibited their works at the sumie exhibition now being held at Ginza

Gallery.

NPOつくしくらぶの墨絵レッスンは今日が最後となりました。いつもの３人の方の参加。

揃って竹を大きな紙に描かれました。勢いのある竹が仕上がりました。お二人はグループ展

に参加。とてもいい記念になったと大満足でした。

Three regular members met today for sumie lesson. They painted safflowers. The teacher showed them first

how to paint stems, leaves and flowers. Flowers are quite difficult to paint as they are like needles.

Using brushes of different size and shape they painted safflowers beautifully.

いつもの３人の方が集まり今日も墨絵を楽しみました。先生ご持参の紅花を描くことになり先ず先生がお手本を

描かれましたが、花は針のような花びらでちょっと難しそうでした。いろんなサイズや形の筆を使ってみなさん

見事に紅花を描かれました。黄色の絵具で今までとちょっと違う感じに仕上がっています。

Three visitors including a young gentleman joined

our Ikebana class today and enjoyed their first lesson.

One lady received her certification of completion of her stage.

The small lovely calla lilies fit with dodan-tsutsuji and solidago.

三人のビジターをお迎えして賑やかなクラスとなりました。

お一人は男性でしたがみなさん初めての生け花を楽しまれていました。

いつものメンバーのお一人に先生から修了書が渡されました。

We had an enjoyable Ikebana class in March with a new comer.

Five ladies challenged their own theme arranging in different styles

or taking exam. After the lesson ,followed lively chat with coffee.

新しい方が赤ちゃんを連れて参加されました。メンバーはいつものように

それぞれのテーマに沿って花の向き、枝ぶりを慎重にみて、生けて

いかれました。花材はキイチゴ、キクです。

Regular sumie members got together and enjoyed painting 'ume' (Japanese apricot flowers)

which are beautiful now. Trunks and blossoms need technique to paint. Under the teacher's kind

instruction lovely works were completed.

欠席者はありましたがいつものメンバーが揃い墨絵のレッスンを楽しみました。

梅は老木の幹や花がなかなか難しかったのですが、先生の優しい指導で

素敵な作品が仕上がりました。

We had another ikebana lesson. One lady who lived in Tokyo before and now visiting

joined us for today's ikebana lesson. It was a nice reunion. We had a fun time arranging

flowers and also chatting. As Hina doll festival is approaching we used peach blossoms

with branches. Other flowers were stocks and 'nanohana' (field mustard).

1年前まで東京に住まれていたメンバーが来日、参加なさいました。皆さま懐かしく

話に花が咲きました。生け花もみなさま慣れて思い思いに活けられひな祭りにぴったりの

作品ができあがりました。

We welcome a new comer with a lovely toddler.

All the members challenged today's theme,the leaf arrangement.

The bIg leaves of Doraceana and Monstera are quite dynamic.

今月は葉物のアレンジメントでした。

ドラセナ、モンステラの大きな葉を色や形を生かして活けていかれます。

アイリス、ナデシコの色がよくあっていました。

Three ladies met for the first sumie lesson this year.

Today's subject was 'matsu' pine trees that are often used

as the New Year's decoration. Thin leaves need technique. They painted

leaves and trunks beautifully using various brushes.

今日は今年初めての墨絵のレッスンがありました。新年を代表する植物の

松がテーマでしたがなかなか描くのにテクニックが必要のようでした。

皆さんいろんな筆を使ってダイナミックな松に仕上げられました。

After year-end and New Year holidays, Ikebana class started

with enthusiastic 4 ladies. With the same kinds of flowers such

as lily, red eyes willow and French marigold, each lady arranged

differently according to sensei's instruction.

今年初めての生け花クラスです。久しぶりにお顔をあわせ、活気に

満ちています。花材は百合、あかめヤナギ、孔雀草です。
